Your staff are the best thing in a city where everyone is working so hard to provide the best service. The location is great as I presume that this hotel is largely responsible for the development and growth of Victoria You set a very high standard and the whole town has your hotel to thank and responsible for how this town has become the best of Canada

First visit to a McManamins and it was such a feast for the eyes- like a hostel on steroids, the paintings, colours, photographs, fabrics and plants are just super fun and extra. Also an amazing story(ies) behind a historical building you have to see to truly appreciate! Cozy room with a clean, comfy bed. Excellent, friendly staff and great drinks. The best part was the multiple bars to chose from. Found this great as a solo traveller- safe, fun, unique spaces that i didnt expect to find all under one (fabulous) roof. The tiki bar's great and Spanish bar's cocktails were particularly awesome! Little tour of the gorgeous "ballroom" concert space was a nice touch. They also have a great little gift shop with a variety of taps available. Super memorable experience, will be back with friends/family for sure and will be seeking out more spots from this company.

It’s hard to pinpoint the precise reason for being fond of a particular hotel. Call it atmosphere, or character perhaps. For me, this hotel is a sweet reminder of the way things were long ago, when it was common for hotels to provide temporary homes for ordinary people, as well as providing for travelers. How nice to find a comfy place that has an old familiar feel.

We were upgraded on arrival from a cabin to a tent house by the lovely Muizz, who absolutely made my day! The tenthouse with its gorgeous sea views, luxurious bed and romantic vibe was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The resort has excellent amenities and space to explore, and a fantastic restaurant on site that we took full advantage of.

There is so much to do in Victoria , even in winter. Watching the float planes and Harbour water taxis come and go in the Inner Harbour is a must. Also driving Dallas Road and BeachDrive, stopping at Clover Point for the views. The downtown shops, mainly not chain stores, are worth visiting as is Spinnakers Pub, even if you don't drink. Butchart Gardens is accessible by car or bus.

We were blown away by the town itself. I hadn’t been there in years when it wasn’t worth a visit. However now total change. Some of the best stores I’ve seen on the island and elsewhere. Lovely coffee shops and restaurants. I would like to recommend the Atlas restaurant for superb food. You cannot make reservations unless you are a group of 6 but well worth the visit We went to the Sid Williams theatre for the first time to see the Eagles. It was fabulous, packed with seniors reliving their memories The Country Market was also equal to something you would find in a big city. We had an amazing lunch there. The choices were amazing and we took home some lovely breads and assorted fruit and meats I honestly cannot say enough about Courtenay it is well worth a visit. I have to say it is pricey but well worth it nonetheless

We come to Campbell River to visit our daughter and her family and always enjoy our stay. The town is quaint and a bit sleepy at this time of year (after Labour Day) but the natural surroundings are stunning and exceed expectations. The beaches we saw and the trails we hiked were magnificent. A few restaurants were not open for dinner at this time of year so a bit challenging to eat at times but there’s a co-op in town (grocery store) and a pizza place which was excellent. Easy to navigate in the town; driving distance to Tofino also.
