Manhattan is a quintessential Midwestern college town.
Manhattan is a quintessential Midwestern college town. The town wraps around the university on 3 sides and college activities are integral to the activities of the town. Manhattan has a nice walkable Main street along with a student-oriented commercial district across the street from the university. K-State is a full on fanatical for their sports teams and the fans and alumni far and wide show up for their teams. There are also some nice big city amenities like bistros, brewpubs and speakeasys. This is an old hotel that has had some renovations.
This is an old hotel that has had some renovations. It is poorly managed with some inoperable lights in the room. The pool was closed. A security door to the interior does not lock all the time. Some of the lights in the hallway were out. There was a Roch (Bug) by the automatic pancake make during breakfast. I asked the clerk to have the manager call me and gave them my phone number but they did not. There are much better Hotels Kansas to stay at similar pricing.Guest review byJeffUnited States
