There is so much to do in Chicago.
There is so much to do in Chicago. If you don't mind walking, then get your walking shoes on as it is possible to walk from the museum campus to Navy Pier and enjoy all of the sites in between. However, if you also want to travel further around without all the walking, I recommend the 7 day pass on the Ventra Card. You can't beat the price and it gives you access to all CTA transportation throughout the city.Guest review byJonathanUnited States - 10.0

We attended the Mexican Fiesta at Summerfest lakefront grounds and had a wonderful time. We also ate at a downtown breakfast restaurant and visited an antique store. Definitely will go back next summer!Guest review byyolandaUnited States - 2.0
A very expensive family trip!
A very expensive family trip! We ended up sleeping on separate floors and sweating most of the day due to faulty air conditioner in 1 or our 2 rooms. (78 degrees) We spent our family time making continuous trips to front lobby, packing, moving, or unpacking our belongings and sleeping on sperate floors instead of conjoined rooms. Breakfast was great!!!Guest review byChadUnited States - 8.0
Mackinaw City is expensive, but has some great places.
Mackinaw City is expensive, but has some great places. The shopping area downtown is very interesting. The park next to the bridge is beautiful (except for goose poop). We didn't visit the fort this time, but it is very interesting. If you stay at a place with shuttle service to the ferry, you don't have to pay for parking. Some hotels have discount coupons to the ferry. Getting around is easy. Most things are within walking distance. Mackinac Island is expensive if you shop there, but to walk around has beautiful scenery. You can rent bikes and travel 8 miles around the island, or take a horse taxi. Arch Rock is interesting.Guest review byNancyUnited States - 8.0
Fun stuff to see and do. I like to just explore the area.
Fun stuff to see and do. I like to just explore the area. Lakes galore. Fun picturesque places along the way if you head out of town towards smaller towns. Definitely plenty of restaurants to try. Packer hall of fame was fun to check out.Guest review bySharonUnited States - 10.0
So much to explore!
So much to explore! We visited the lighthouses and sleeping bear dunes. Tried to explore the commons shopping area, but couldn't seem to get there. Could have used a better map. Hopefully we can check it out next time. Lots of road construction made it a challenge to navigate an unfamiliar city. Views were stunning along the bay. We hope to visit again perhaps next spring. Parking was definitely an issue. We passed on exploring some shops and restaurants because parking couldn't be found.Guest review byHarold - 8.0

Great town for the Mackinaw area, away from the congestion of Mac. City. Downtown is growing and becoming more tourist friendly. Perfect base for UP adventures. Good places to eat is the Driftwood and Gangplank. Tourist trapped is the Mystery spot. Event parking is a little tight but if no events then plenty of room to spare for parking.Guest review byYuergens - 10.0

Although our group frequent downtown Chicago, Schiller Park was nice. We enjoyed access and frequent visits to the local parks, especially the Des Plaines River Trail. We saw lots of wildlife (deer, raccoons, rabbits) and enjoyed frog sounds at night. For the young athletes there were good things for them to enjoy. Good local eateries nearby.Guest review byElliottUnited States - 10.0
There is someone at the front desk 24/7.
There is someone at the front desk 24/7. There may be no convenience store nearby but they do have water, soda and chips for sale for a reasonable price. There’s also a microwave in the lobby that you can use. The staff were nice too and told that I could have more coffee if I wanted.Guest review byRelizaUnited States - 10.0

I come to Merriville every year since 2020 to see my granddaughter and my great grandchildren. I stay in a hotel for a week to 10 day's at a time. All the reasonable price hotel have gone down hill. They are dirty, have black mold, and bug's. The pools are in poor condition and need work done to them. I think that the Health Inspector of Merriville needs to visit most of the Hotels in the area and Fine most of them. Those hotels are bringing down the reputation of the city of Merriville. In the future I will stay at a Abnb or another town.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States
