I love the Bar Harbor area.
I love the Bar Harbor area. We go at least every other year and may try to make it a yearly visit. Love the Jordan House, Cadillac Mt, Thunder Hole, Sand Beach and all the other places there are to see. Beautiful senary.Guest review byJoanne - 8.0
I spent less than 24 hours in Portland and enjoyed it!
I spent less than 24 hours in Portland and enjoyed it! I went walking in the downtown and historic district, ate lobster rolls twice, and went on a 90 min, beautiful ferry ride around the surrounding islands. If I had more time, I would have gone to the lighthouses, beaches, explored additional islands and more. I think 3-4 days in Portland would be ideal. People should be prepared for areas with a large homeless population. I was surprised (and apparently this is year-round, even more surprising). I was not bothered because I live an urban area myseflGuest review byAshleyUnited States - 10.0

Beach is beautiful but cold, perfect for bodysurf with the kids! The most difficult in Old Orchard Beach is to select a good hotel, since a couple of years the price are very expensive and you need to pay a couple of hundreds dollars/night. In high season the low price motel are mostly outdated and disgusting, it's very frustrating to pay 300-400$/night for a motel who are normally a 75$/night motel.Guest review byYvesCanada - 10.0

Ogunquit is a great town with wonderful restaurants and shops. A walk along the beautiful Marginal Way will take you to the quaint fishing village of Perkins Cove. Also, Ogunquit Beach is only steps from town.Guest review byScottUnited States - 10.0
Bangor was beautiful.
Bangor was beautiful. Hiking all around and a lots of beautiful flowers. Blaze Pizza was really good downtown and also Sea Dog Brewery. The area is easy to navigate and the Penobscot River runs through town. White water rafting was amazing up in Millinocket.Guest review bySullivanUnited States - 10.0
Hotels/Inns/Resorts... the list goes on.. busy as expected.
Hotels/Inns/Resorts... the list goes on.. busy as expected. Still, easy enough travelling up and down Wells, Ogunquit, York... 'the strip' has many stores, restaurants, and , of course, accommodations. The one complaint: I guess people don't eat on Mondays or Tuesdays... that, and breakfast specialties aren't a 'thing'. We did find food, and, of course, breakfast... but several 'suggested stops' open for the week on Wednesday (not helpful on a Tuesday). And, after travel, many of the places that were open, closed for the night at 7:00 pm or 8:00 pm... I get it, Tuesday is not a 'hot' night, but 'in season' dining AT 7:00 is not a rare thing - now maybe these places SERVED until 7-8:00 but I took that many places CLOSE then, and you can't 'storm the door' at that time, and expect service.Guest review byMiller - 10.0
As someone from the county going to Portland was fun.
As someone from the county going to Portland was fun. Lots more to do than were used to, Dunkin close by, tons of stores for shopping. The mall was great, build a bear was a huge hit so was funtown splashtown and the huge arcade In the mall. The pier in old orchard is also a huge hit. You can find restaurants on the ocean and eat your lobster outside with a beautiful view.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 8.0

We've made Boothbay Harbor a retreat destination that we've visited a half dozen times now over the last 20 years. It is a classic New England sea side town which we have found welcoming and beautiful. There are lots of great places to eat, and shops to visit, local sightseeing attractions, golf, boat tours, etc.Guest review byGaryUnited States - 10.0
