This area is more upscale than many, and so has good shopping and eateries galore. We used the location to venture every direction - Valley Fair, MoA, Uptown/Downtown Mpls, zoos, museums - most within a 15-20 minute drive. Really, some of the best shopping available within a relatively small area means more time for fun. There is no shortage of activities to reach from Bloomington, and we will stay there again. We went to see a ballgame at Target Field. Beautiful stadium and got to watch our Padres take the win, sorry Twins fans. ;p I wish the stadium would have sold any opposing team merch, I feel like they were missing out on a whole stream of revenue as we were prepared to buy. We ate at Mad Chicken as it was a new place for us.. the food was SO GOOD, it put other more popular chicken restaurant chains to shame. We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music Festival. This time we were there for the Tall Ships Festival Of Sail 2025. So, 2 times in 2025. We ate at Grandma's and Little Angie's - both I would highly recommend!!! We also ate at the Duluth Perkin's - also a great choice!!! We always go to the Portland Malt Shop for Ice Cream or a Malt - delicious, but expect a lengthy wait in line. We took a cruise on the Vista Star, which is always fun and relaxing!!! We visited Two Harbors another day. And went to Burlington Station and Callie's for some unique Fudge - Pistachio, Cookies and Cream, and Cotton Candy flavors, and Popcorn.
