I stayed in Charlotte from Friday to Monday for a birthday celebration. Charlotte is walkable and lively. I would recommend to families, couples, and single travelers. The weather was great during our stay and we were able to try many restaurants, walk to rooftops, enjoy dinner with live music, and more. Very green and beautiful. There was a fabulous Arboretum that was free entry. The food choices are multi cultural and very good. There are children parks that are also lovely and well attended. The city for the most part is clean, great bar-b-q, beautiful azalea garden free to public. Nice town Chipotle was close by and Popeyes is in the immediate area of the hotel. It was a little difficult getting around, and I am guessing is because I was just visiting. My group toured the Biltmore and property. We also stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn! We ate one evening at the Corner Kitchen and we were very glad to support Asheville in coming back after their flood. We also at on the Terrace at Grove Park Inn one evening. Nice beaches Had dinner at Barefoot Bernies. Recommend highly Country Deli love their sandwiches. I was visiting a family member who was also visiting Winston Salem. We had some great meals in unique restaurants, took wonderful walks at a nearby lake and at Reynolda and in town. We went to the local theatre production of Prince of Egypt which was fabulous, went to the Bookmarks fundraiser and to the Moravian Museum. Had a wonderful time.Guest review bywerner - 10.0

Cherokee has really done some growing since I was there shortly after the pandemic. Great new eateries, nice hotels. Getting around Cherokee was easy.
