The hotel was clean the staff was friendly the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had men's hairs from someone shaving their face and neck on the sink. There was men's hairs around the sink that was not clean prior to renting the space The bathroom could have been wiped down better. The room and the bathroom also had a bad odor.

Although we stayed for 2 days, we could've stayed 4 days.

Although we stayed for 2 days, we could've stayed 4 days. There is a lot to do in the surrounding areas. Greenport is a cute town with cute stores and fabulous restaurants. Surrounding areas such as Southhold have wonderful restaurants as well. Taking the ferry over to Shelter Island for the day was fun and exciting. We also took the ferry from the south end of shelter island to Sag Harbor. Had lunch at Sag Pizza which was delish

A chance to get away from it all, but without having to isolate yourself. Stay in a local community that doesn’t feel influenced by tourism. Lots of lovely places to see and eat; people all very friendly.

You'll spend most of your time driving OUTSIDE of Aquebogue to anywhere with real substance. Not too many attractions in general in Riverhead, and even less within a 10 to 15 mile radius. Limited restaurant options and the ones that are there tend to be very overpriced or need reservations. Good if you want a cheaper place to stay while visiting the Hamptons, but not a destination in itself.

Southold was a really cute town, have been through before.

Southold was a really cute town, have been through before. Greenport is very close by, with many restaurant options available. -- The Halyard, The Frisky Oyster and Crazy Beans were a few of the places we visited. However, if you are lucky enough to meet Taylor (at the Shoals) she has some wonderful ideas and options for you to try.

The Hamptons, North and South Shores of Long Island are beautiful. It was great to be back home. Riverhead has become a very lovely town; visit all the local wineries and restaurants and beach. Perfect location to see all of Long Island East End. Local farmstands are wonderful. For those that don't know New York.........visit the HAMPTONS and Riverhead is a perfect location as your hub. Canoe trips along the river are a fun day sport if you're up to "portages". Drive down Dune Road and awe the mansions. Visit the DUCK!

This is one of he most beautiful places to visit in Long Island. It is like a small version of Cape Code or Maine with more sophisticated crowd. Yes it is expensive but I love everything about Greenport!

Convenient location for wedding venue in South Hampton.

Convenient location for wedding venue in South Hampton. Dated but absolutely clean and maintained meticulously. Accommodated over 35 family members. Has a large veranda outside 1st floor rooms for family to gather. Staff members were perfect hosts. Only drawback was that it had no elevator in our building because it only had two floors. And mirrors were high on walls. No full length mirror.

Greenport is very pretty.

Greenport is very pretty. Plenty of bars and restaurants and interesting shops to browse. We enjoyed dinner on the dock at Claudio's, an ice cream at Amazing Flavors and breakfast at Crazy Beans. Greenport is close to many vineyards, we visited Kontokosta, no need to book and great views of the LI sound. We were in Greenport just one night (family of 4, kids 12 and 14 travelling from the UK) before taking the ferry (cash only) via the beautiful Shelter Island to Sag Harbour which I'd recommend. I'd have liked to stay another night or two and if I make it there again explore the Sound side more, and visit the brewery. A great road trip to tag on to a trip to NYC (or jump on the LIRR).
