Florence is a busy place.
Florence is a busy place. We chose it because it was in between Creation Museum and Ark Encounter and easy to get back on highway to head home. There is so much to do in the area, but it was over 90 degrees the day we arrived and the next day that we didn't get around to the Stringtown Park which was what I had planned for the first day we arrived. We could have stayed another week and not covered all there is to do in the area - if you want to deal with 71/75 and Cincinnati traffic.Guest review byKarenUnited States - 8.0

Very close to airport and short 30 min drive to The Ark Experience which was breathtaking. We are returning between Day after Thanksgiving to end of year for Christmas lights display. The Ark Encounter is an amazing Spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual experience that needs to be explored more than once! The roads in the “dual/country” farming community can be upgraded with lighting systems that come on when vehicles are passing through, and are motioned sensor quipped to go off at night when there are no vehicles passing through….that could be done in Lexington as well…we didn’t experience Louisville at night; therefore our complete areas visited we can’t comment on! Location is close to interstate. Quiet neighborhood. Prices are too high for what you get. Upgrade your kitchen with better silverware, pots & pans, dishes. Fix the living room floor. Buy better quality towels and linens. Bring your own pillow the ones here are rated a 1 out of 10. Check for bugs and flying insects. No screens. Make it easier to operate TV's. We loved the area and stay once or twice a year.
We loved the area and stay once or twice a year. It is our half way point when traveling with little kids. Lots to do in the area. We have gone to the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Zoo in the past years and we're excited to see what else we can do as our kids grow up. I enjoyed the city, the greenery, the choices of restaurants. My favorite was Mexican food. The Taco Bell staff members were especially polite and caring. Florence is a busy town. It was close to Ohio, and our destinations were with in an hours drive. There were restaurants and shopping nearby.
