Nice getaway, great for a long weekend.
Nice getaway, great for a long weekend. Good for girls trip with lots of nightlife and great restaurants,. What is great is that you have the convenience of using the dollar and US stores like Walgreens. So it is super convenient and easy to navigate.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 8.0
Gringo town where English is the default, but lively!
Gringo town where English is the default, but lively! Good food options overall. West side for sunsets! You'll need to go to the south side of the island for swimming spots, the beaches here are for serious surfers only.Guest review byNathalieUnited States - 4.0
There isn’t much to do in Ponce.
There isn’t much to do in Ponce. The beach was disappointing, and the town center is quite small with only a limited number of restaurants and coffee shops. Overall, it felt underwhelming as a destination.Guest review byErkinTurkey - 10.0

Mayagüez and the West Coast of my beloved island of Puerto Rico are among the most amazing places in the world. Read reviews before booking any facility, but I guarantee you will love the West Coast beaches.Guest review byNancyUnited States - 10.0

So much to see but didn't have enough time! People were friendly and helpful!! Recommend bio bay tours and other sights! Ask for Leonardo he was great! Very informative! Food at Bananas was good recommended by the locals and the little kiosk across from the restaurant served excellent frozen Pina coladas. Taxis were very reasonable.Guest review byRosalindUnited States - 8.0

It certainly is beautiful, but small, and fun things to do are in specific places. And natural features like Playa Flamenco and snorkeling places that can't be duplicated, but require advance knowledge and planning. Plan ahead. Check Weather/storm impacts. Hurricane waves made the beaches unswimmable and full of seaweed. A lot of this island is ugly, smelly, tight, bumpy roads in between the nice beautiful places. Rent a real car unless you only have 2 - 3 specific destinations, then use Taxis, but research the hours and days of things you want, including rentals, in advance. Roads are tight, bumpy, and lots of very steep hills and curves. If you want a more actual touristy experience and freedom to improvise, try Vieques I think.Guest review byEricUnited States - 8.0

Ok, maybe we missed something here, but we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the downtown area and central plaza were lifeless. Lots of abandoned houses and buildings in the backstreets. With that said, we never felt unsafe. The area to the east is a different story and is touristy with lots of fun bars and top notch restaurants. Avoid the town center and head east.Guest review byCharlesUnited States - 10.0

We had an amazing time relaxing during our 4-night stay. The weather was beautiful and the resort was wonderful. It was not only beautiful, but it was clean, well staffed, and well maintained. There was a wide variety of activities and food options on site. The pools were wonderful and we enjoyed walking the beach and going for a swim.Guest review byAlysonUnited States - 10.0

I grew up there so I'm kind of the proud mama at how far it's come since the hurricanes. It's a beautiful little oasis and has so much to offer. It can be a pain in the butt with the insane drivers there. Favorite place? Rex Ice Cream. I am NOT home til I get my corn with cinnamon Rex Ice Cream. I also love Crashboat beach, but it gets super crowded on weekends.Guest review byStevens - 8.0

Beware of the gringo price when you go to restaurants and shops. Some people are unfriendly to you if you’re “American,” the food is good, the roads are sketchy and the locals drive it like they stole it. This was my second trip to PR, I will not return, but it was worth it all to see the natural beauty of this place.Guest review byElijah SchottUnited States
