We were there for a school athletic event. The hotel was spotless and all the staff were kind, respectful and helpful. They were able to answer our questions about the town itself. We will be coming back next year for the soccer tournaments and staying at the Hilton Garden Inn for sure!

Rooms are very comfortable, river view is nice although I did not specify when.making reservation. Stay was quiet and felt very safe and secure. Yes I would recommend this property to other travelers. When booking I don't recall seeing the king one bedroom river view room I would have reserved it had I known of it.

Rock Island is a very welcoming city located in western Illinois on the banks of the Mississippi River. There are many locally owned shops downtown - know as The District by locals. I found some GREAT deals too! A heads up though, if you do not drive, there will be transportation challenges. With a limited bus system and Lyft/Uber availability spotty at best, you will need to be prepared to do a lot of walking if here without a vehicle. Rock Island, originally Fort Armstrong, was built on the island in 1816 and was the headquarters of operations in the Black Hawk War (1832), in which Chief Black Hawk and his people were forced out of Illinois. Laid out in 1835 as Stephenson, the community was renamed Rock Island and incorporated as a town in 1841. I suggest if you want a break from your world you consider Rock Island, Illinois!

This hotel is deceptive and underhanded in its pricing.

This hotel is deceptive and underhanded in its pricing. They added a house cleaning fee to the price I was shown when I reserved the room online. I didn't discover it until I was checking in when I arrived at the hotel. The breakfast did not include any protein. Usually there are eggs and sausage but this was just all carbs. The toilet would have run all night had we not turned off the water valve. The signage at the road could be bigger and more obvious. It was difficult to find on the first swing through the area.

I haven't been to Bettendorf before but I was actually quite impressed. Looks like they have worked hard to improve the city. I'd definitely stay again some time. We went to an awesome concert, then a couple bars after the concert. Very cute and fun. We used a taxi service so that helped not to have to drive in the city or have to park. The Hotel gives you cards with taxi services. Very helpful I look forward to our next visit.

We only stayed one evening, Saturday to Sunday and most shops were closed on Sunday including the John Deere pavilion. There wasn't much to do except to admire the old buildings in town and then walk along the Mississippi River outside of town. We were on our way to Chicago anyway so this was a stopover for us. Before we arrived at our Moline hotel we walked along the Mississippi in Davenport as well as walked their streets in the early evening. Davenport seemed to be a livelier city than Moline. If you like Bix Beiderbecke Davenport is the place for you!
