The bed was amazing and the linens and comforter were so comfy and clean! The room was clean and was wonderfully pleasant. Not your typical hotel/motel - far better and possibly the best room I’ve stayed in! And I’ve stayed in many many many hotels and motels.Guest review byAdrienneUnited States

The Bluff Fort museum looked interesting but it was too hot to walk around. In mid-July, there were very few options for dining, which became a bit of a challenge for my diabetic husband. The pizza from the gas station convenience store kept us fed after a long day at Monument Valley. Utah forces you to be self-reliant in every way, although the gas prices in town were better than in Moab.Guest review bySarah F.E.United States - 10.0

If you love the beauty of the desert, respect and admire Navajo culture, and want to be surrounded by iconic visions of the Southwest, Monument Valley is a bucket list trip for sure. I would go back with family, perhaps booking a horseback trip in the park next time.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 8.0

The area around Blanding is beautiful and unique. There’s lots to see if you’re into history and unique scenery. Be sure to have a pickup or SUV with good clearance and awd/4wd for the best experience traveling around there.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 8.0

I came to Utah to visit Moab after arriving in Moab all hotels were sold out so we ended up in Monticello. After getting to the hotel I was kinda leary looked old and kinda run down but to find out someone had just bought the hotel and was in process of refurbishing it. Our room was very nice beds were comfortable and the room was clean no mold. I would definitely stay here again friendly people Beautiful stateGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted.
Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted. Set amid forested mountains and meadows, it's perfect for star gazing and vegging out. In the mornings and evenings, deer and jack rabbits wander right up to the viewing deck. The spacious common rooms let us mingle with other guests or just do our own thing. Amanda and her daughter are attentive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more. We're returning next spring and bringing a friend with us!Guest review byWilsonUnited States - 8.0

There isn't a town center, but it was the perfect spot between Monticello and Blanding. Not much was open in March in Monticello and only one place named Yaks serves breakfast in Blanding. Many more options for other meals in Blanding including a darling ice cream shop. We loved touring the working Cedar Mesa Pottery shop there and finding great deals on their seconds. And there is a hike to 5 Kiva Pueblo ruins some of our group enjoyed.Guest review byCastillo - 10.0
We loved our hotel and the small village there.
We loved our hotel and the small village there. We loved the history and all there was to see. There were only 2 restaurants suggested for us. One opened at 5 pm. It was the higher recommended; however, they would not sit us or allow us in early so we went to the one which opened at 4:30. We were NOT disappointed. The other one needs to learn people skills. I wish I could remember the names and be more specific.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10.0
We arrived late afternoon and looked around Gould's Resort.
We arrived late afternoon and looked around Gould's Resort. The museum was interesting and food was quite good other than the country western music, which is not our style. We took the Sunrise Tour through Gould's Resort and it was excellent. The formations in Monument Valley are fabulous. The movie and Navajo history are also very interesting.Guest review byJanUnited States - 2.0
I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding.
I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding. The town offers nothing worthwhile. The motel was overpriced and the only decent restaurant in town was laughable. We fueled up in town before leaving the next morning and twenty miles down the road, gas was almost $.30 a gallon cheaper. I wish we had driven the extra 100 miles to Kayenta, AZ.Guest review byPatrickUnited States - 8.0

Monticello is the best base to visit The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. It takes about an hour to get to the visitor center - if you do not make any stops on your way. But the surrounding nature is wonderful, so you probably make lots of stops to take photos. The road into the national park in Indian Creek Canyon is very scenic. Monticello is a small and quiet town. There's nothing to do there except to spend your night. There are two pizza saloons (the medium pizza costs $15), a Mexican restaurant which had a growing line of customers in the evening and a Thai restaurant which is probably the most expensive in town (minimum $20 for a meal, no drinks). Its worth to go and have a look at a Mormon temple on the edge of town - it is beautiful.Guest review byPriitEstonia
