Roads in and out like trying to get on and off pit road, in a NASCAR race. Lanes end with little or no warning. If you are in wrong lane forget it. The Hop On Hop Off was the most helpful. We learned a lot about the history of, cultural diversity, and the people from our retired school teacher Mr O. The customer service of many staff from hotel, restaurants, Hop on busses, and general services was impeccable. They never said go here or there from just directions. They all walked you to an area so you could see exactly where we wanted to go. The Alamo and the laser light show was wonderful. The boat ride too was fun. Galveston is a fun place to visit.
Galveston is a fun place to visit. Its a short drive to the Ferry to Bolivar and Crystal beach. There are several good restaurants to choose from. The only downfall is that you have to pay to park along the seawall.
