Moab is a charming and welcoming city in a beautiful area surrounded with breathtaking red mountains and bright blue skies. The red and blue colors are just mesmerizing. Moab has lots of different shops restaurants, hotels and other amenities including opportunities for different adventures such as hiking, mountain biking, driving off road and rafting. It is in a perfect location for visiting many amazing attractions including Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, Colorado river scenic road, Corona Arch and many, many more. Only stayed in Kanab for one night and late in the afternoon. Loved the Toadstool Hoodoos which is located at the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument just before getting into Kanab and it is only a 1.7 mi RT hike. Loved Wild Thyme restaurant. Had their salmon dish and we shared a delish dessert. Went to Moqui Cave. Very interesting story of the lineage of the Hopi Cave told by the employees. It is very touristy but very cool to check out and if you are into rocks, gems, Native American jewelry, it is a must stop. They have wind caves there but didn’t have time for that. A beautiful area. Springdale is a picturesque little town right at the gate to Zion National Park. It has a good selection of lodging, restaurants, and shops, including outfitters for active pursuits in the park. We can recommend Oscar's and Spotted Dog restaurants for any meal and Porters for breakfast. Panguitch is a special place full of wonderful people. We were traveling through here when my husband was hospitalized for 5 days. Everyone, hospital staff, hotel owner, laundry mat, pharmacy, etc...were very helpful and kind. Cannot say enough good about it. We spent one full day at Bryce. We saw the most spectacular night sky with milky way visible to naked eyes. It was very quiet and peaceful at night. We did the Navajo and queens garden loop which was around 3 miles and covered most of the canyon. Views from Inspiration point and Bryce point are the best. Hurricane is great because it's near Zion National Park and everything you can do there. We found a few great restaurants - River Rock Roasting Company's cinnamon rolls are not to be missed. We also loved Main Street Cafe. There's everything you need - grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, and restaurants. While staying in Hurricane, we embarked on a Canyoning tour with Red Desert Adventure. It was phenomenal! If rappelling down waterfalls, climbing Via Ferratta, and zip lining across canyons sounds like your happy place, then I highly recommend it! We also hiked the Narrows.
