Wondeful places to visit including plke street market, flowers fish and totally unique stalls and shops. New landscaped promenade.Must do Space needle and Chihuly glass gardens. People friendly. 2 really good wool/ yarn shops, So much yarn and yarn dragon. Both really good with helpful staff. Worth spending the extra days around going to an Alaskian cruise. The town of Leavenworth is a memorable and cute tourist destination with an excellent vibe and incredible setting. Great shopping, restaurants, music and cultural events throughout the year. Do not limit yourself to downtown only - the mountains, rivers, lakes, hikes, winter sports activities about just outside of town and should not be missed! Free bus service shuttles (from the Leavenworth Park and Ride) within town, and to nearby communities, along with EV charging stations can be found near the Safeway complex. Save on parking fees, and let public transit take you there! Check out a variety of cultural activities at Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort nearby, and music at many of the restaurants and tasting rooms in town. Wonderful outdoor activities abound along the Tumwater Canyon and Lake Wenatchee area, including several golf courses, reindeer farm, rock climbing and hikes, local ski hill in town and several winter resorts nearby. Port Angeles and Sequim are both delightful little towns, very different but both very friendly. And very near the beautiful Olympic National Park. We commuted to practice medicine there for 5 years, and it would be a wonderful place to live, but certainly is a delight to visit. Many upscale restaurants in both towns. Beautiful little town, especially at Christmastime, with wonderful decorations. Chick-Fil-A is conveniently located, lots of little shops and a great Mall. Bellingham has a really nice safe vibe. Family friendly, no skyscrapers, easy to get around. Lots of great restaurants, coffee houses etc.We much preferred it to the big city vibe in Seattle.
