Hotel in Kapalua, Lahaina
Located on one of Maui's most beautiful beaches on Napili Bay, The Mauian Hotel offers a variety of activities and friendly services. Coming from Europe we fell in love with Napili beach during our honeymoon many years ago. The Mauian Hotel was the affordable solution for us with kids. We also didn't want one of those huge, anonymous places to stay and were not disappointed. The Mauian is one of the most beautiful resorts we have been to: lots of huge palm and plumeria trees. The vegetation shows that it is not a new resort but one that has been there for many many years. The pool in the middle of the resort is not the newest or biggest but everybody meets there for barbecueing and sozialising. The beach is just perfect! Many guests revisit and know each other - very familiar and family orientated (which also means quite a lot of rules like e.g. pool hours annd quiet time) We absolutely loved everything: the torches, the room, the gardens, the beach, the security guy.....

Lahaina
Excellent location with ocean view, right on the beach. The rooms/apartments are large. Friendly staff. Great restaurant options nearby and the West Maui area is generally a perfect vacation spot in Hawaii. Aston Mahana is not as fancy as the 4-star resorts nearby but it does well to get you an ocean view and a great location overall.
Ocean front studio, there is anything you need for a week of relax.
Everything!! Texts from staff to check how we were doing and if we needed anything.
Everything was amazing! The hotel recepcionist was very kind, the rooms are very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the front beach is AMAZING and there is a Small Mall near with some greats restaurants options.
The rooms were spacious and nice. The condo was very clean and there was plenty of complimentary essentials. I also like the fact that we had our own washer and dryer.
The apartment was very big and had all the facilities I needed. I was initially given an apartment without sea view, but when I asked to be moved to an apartment with a better view the front-desk staff were very accommodating.
The resort was comfortable and within a short 5 minute walk to the local car rentals, local food trucks with delicious food, supermarket and boardwalk. The boardwalk is a walk along the beach across several resorts leading to the Whalers village The whales village is a pretty place but filled with high end stores from Sephora to Calvin Klein. We preferred going to Lahaina which was filled with pretty small stores, lots of restaurants, eateries and shops with the local craft at a much lower rate than what you would get in resort gift shops The beaches are divine and just amazing to see a variety of colourful fishes swimming in the shallow waters as well. The haleakala sunrise left us awestruck but later got to know that we were lucky to get it and many others don't get to see it of the skies are overcast by clouds. The 250 usd we paid per person was worth it. Also this place is 10000 ft above sealevel with breathtaking views however it is super cold and windy so be prepared with warm clothing and layering up. We went with Skyline tours arranged by the resort. Overall worth a visit ..just be prepared to wake up at 1.30am to leave for the peak. The Laua at Royal Lahaina was good. Dancers were brilliant. Food was OK and the pork was only shown but not served. Alcohol was unlimited. Overall staff are very courteous and filled with Aloha. The concierge were super helpful.
The hotel is close to lots of eating places and a grocery store so it’s very convenient for food. Just around the corner from the hotel is a little place called Papi’s Ohana which make the best cinnamon buns - if you go early they are hot and fresh out of the oven. We loved the fact that each room had a kitchen and laundry. Some beds were comfortable and others weren’t. We rented four different rooms and each room is apparently owned by different people so that’s the reason for the differences in bed comfort in each place. We all loved the fact that this place felt like it was very welcoming, it had more of a community feel than hotels usually do. The pool wasn’t huge but big enough for us and the hot tub was pretty big. They had putting greens for everyone to enjoy as a well as other games you could play around the property. Overall we really liked this place and would definitely come back again.
beautiful view wallbed rather than hideabed
Breakfast is amazing at their restaurant!!!
So peaceful! We were able to watch whales play off the coast which was amazing!
