- From $122.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 583 reviewsStay at the Irma Hotel if you're in Cody, WY! It has great character and ambiance. We had a huge room with 2 queen beds, antique dresser, table, TV, refrigerator, and pretty large bathroom for a hotel room. There was a sink in the bedroom in addition to the sink in the bathroom! That's a bonus in my opinion! We loved the space. Beds were comfortable, and the a/c and refrigerator worked well. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and it too was bragworthy. The food was great, and the decor was amazing with pictures of Buffalo Bill and other notable Cody residents, along with numerous elk, deer, moose, and bull heads along the walls. Also, the beautiful cherry bar gifted to Buffalo Bill by the Queen of England is in the dinning room along the wall. I highly recommend you stay here if you can, or at least have a meal there. It's worth it!Guest review byLinda C Kiser
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 496 reviewsWe had the handicapped room which was one of the largest rooms we had on our 24 day drive through the west. There was a cozy dinner area, a full kitchen, a living room and a bedroom in a different area of our suite. We were on the first floor but there was a convenient area in front of our room to have cocktails and enjoy the view of the elk refuge. We didn't see anyone in the reception area but they gave us the code to the room which was convenient.Guest review bySamuelUnited States

Great high end city, great shopping and restaurants.
Great high end city, great shopping and restaurants. You can take day tours and the city is completely walkable. You park your car and never need to use it until you leave. So beautiful too withe surrounding mountains. A special place. This was my second visit, I was there in the summer of 1999. It did not disappoint.Guest review byDebbieUnited States - 10.0

I cannot give an appreciation on this town. I was just travelling by and stop for a night to sleep and then continued with my trip the next morning. But for what I saw when travelling across, I can say that is is ok.Guest review byAbraham-Bethel - 10.0
Close proximity to Yellowstone. The wether was great.
Close proximity to Yellowstone. The wether was great. We liked the picture of the baby moose that was born at the resort that was in the binder about he Hatchet Resort. We saw a moose, elks, 2 wolves, and a mama grizzly bear with her cub on the way back to the Hatchet Resort from Yelllowstone. The resort room was very quiet and comfortable. It was great having a breakfast grill and restaurant plus a grocery store and gas station at the resort. We had a great time!Guest review byKevinUnited States - 4.0

On the way to Casper is wide, empty spaces with nowhere to stop so the drive was tedious. Casper itself was a nice little town but it was very isolated. There are other towns in Wyoming I have liked better, and we probably won't make the long trek to Casper again without a very specific need to go there. There were some nice little restaurants but they were very crowded and the downtown was cute. It felt pretty safe to walk around.Guest review bySherryUnited States - 6.0
Gillete is a very small town with zero public transport so...
Gillete is a very small town with zero public transport so the only reason to go there is if you wanted to visit the sacred mountian "Matao Tepei" / Devils tower / bear lodge (1st national monument). You;d really have to get your own vehicle or find some local to help (you;d have to be really lucky to do so) there is no other way to commute really, the 2 taxi services in Gillete have closed down, nobody offers tours to this place, the community visitors center has no information or help either, and Gillete has like 1-2 max cars for ubers and they dont show up often... Going from huelet instead of gillete via drive / tour or doing this epic mountian visit as part of a longer south dakota - wyoming bus / preplanned tour might be a safer bet. They offer tours from denver / salt lake which are very economical, well laid and safer bets for people who are not driving or not familiar with these places as they are wild and filled with just open spaces for long distances so one can feel stranded if all by themselves and not knowing where/ how to commute. The internet is bad and you lose maps too in certain pockets. I went to gillete as that was the only closest city to this mountain but I had no idea they dont have a single tour / facility / way to go to this place at all! its an untapped business segment actually as this mountain is truly sacred and worth visiting and nobody offers its tours from its closest city! This 'Matao Tepei' mountain, the sacred place is magical and must be visited for sure as it has a very powerful energy and truly extraordinary but reaching here is a bit challenging so plan ahead.Guest review byNeha lohiaUnited States - 10.0

I booked this as a stop between Boise and Boulder and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. Mesa, at the front desk, was very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and featured a microwave, desk, coffee maker, two comfy queen beds, and a large TV. The rooms were quiet, I didn't hear anyone else even though I know I had neighbors. The breakfast was far more than expected and a great way to start my day for the remaining five hour drive. I would book here again for sure!Guest review byLaurenUnited States - 10.0

Good shopping, friendly, college town, fairly decent places to eat. Lots of UW Cowboy gifts and shopping to be found. The Bent & Rusty is a GREAT gift shop, Dodds Shoes has an amazing selection, 17th ST Cafe was pretty good. The Accomplice is not bad. Altitude Steak House is pretty popular. Pretty good service, make a reservation there or go early on a Fri/Sat evening!! And Chano's Village Mexican Restaurant is pretty good too....busy!!Guest review byTheresaUnited States - 10.0
