Springdale is a very nice town.
Springdale is a very nice town. It’s clean, nice hotels and nice restaurants with good food. The bus rides to Zion from the town and the buses taking you in the park to your hiking trails is very convenient. The town itself so easy to get around by car and most places are within walking distance if you prefer to walk. The town feels very safe which is a huge plus. Only stayed in Kanab for one night and late in the afternoon. Loved the Toadstool Hoodoos which is located at the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument just before getting into Kanab and it is only a 1.7 mi RT hike. Loved Wild Thyme restaurant. Had their salmon dish and we shared a delish dessert. Went to Moqui Cave. Very interesting story of the lineage of the Hopi Cave told by the employees. It is very touristy but very cool to check out and if you are into rocks, gems, Native American jewelry, it is a must stop. They have wind caves there but didn’t have time for that. A beautiful area. Hurricane is great because it's near Zion National Park and everything you can do there. We found a few great restaurants - River Rock Roasting Company's cinnamon rolls are not to be missed. We also loved Main Street Cafe. There's everything you need - grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, and restaurants. While staying in Hurricane, we embarked on a Canyoning tour with Red Desert Adventure. It was phenomenal! If rappelling down waterfalls, climbing Via Ferratta, and zip lining across canyons sounds like your happy place, then I highly recommend it! We also hiked the Narrows. A very nice and comfortable hotel. The room was cozy and had everything we needed (we even managed to iron a shirt before going out for dinner). The pool is large and pleasant, and breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of options. We enjoyed it as a great base for our hikes in Zion National Park. The one thing I would change is the large parking area inside the property, which many rooms face. Washington is located next to St. George, Utah and is a growing community. There are plenty of stores and restaurants. Most of the restaurants are chains but there are a few local standouts. This was my second time staying here and not my last!
This was my second time staying here and not my last! It has all you need and keeps your stay more outdoors focused, which is exactly what we wanted for our trip. The room was clean, provides relatively comfortable beds, towels, a microwave, mini fridge, table and hangers. We had a fire pit outside with additional seating so you don't even have to bring camping chairs if you don't want to. In the main building there are cooking supplies in case you forgot anything, along with fire starting supplies and different snack and drink options for a small fee. The hosts have thought of everything! I was also impressed with the bathroom and shower accommodations considering we were camping. If you're looking for a cabin stay book here!Guest review byMelissa
