    Standard basic hotel. I got sick from a restaurant and had to stay an extra 2 days. The staff was friendly. They sell cold drinks in the lobby. Not many local options for food, but there are some shops and it's not far to the town centre. It looked like a cafe will open next door 👍

    Ca Mau City is a stopping-off place before heading to Ca Mau Cape and its adjacent mangrove forests. Be aware that Cau Mau Cape has especial cultural significance to Vietnamese or Vietnamese/Chinese peoples - westerners (foreigners) are a rarity at the Cape - there were only two there on the Sunday my wife and I visited the Cape (me plus one German solo traveller). If you are looking to find the Ca Mau City Bird Sanctuary, stop now - it no longer exists!! Ninty percent of the old bird sanctuary has been built over by the new President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Park and the remain 10% is no longer accessible to pedestrians (locked closed) due to the high concentration of venomous snakes.
