For us, Vu’s was perfect. Clean, close to numerous restaurants and it had a nice pool for a dip after a day at the spectacular nearby caves. A bonus was the free bikes for a quiet ride along the river and the friendly owner Anna and her family.

EVERYTHING ! The host went extra mile to make sure we can arrive safely in the middle of the night after bus dropped us off a bit far from it ( she sent private car as there no taxis available in the middle of the night ) Rooms are good, with good aircon and comfortable beds. Included Breakfast is good with freshly made juice/coffee - also lunch/dinner option are plentiful and taste very good. Pool is a blast - big, deep enough to have fun or just chill after hot day activities. On top of that - they had 4 cute tiny little puppies that my children could not stop playing with ! I wish I could come back there again ! I forgot to mention - we took 3 different tours here and each one was great / good value. Kayaking in Phong Nha cave is a MUST DO !!! Ability to pay once for all with a card / cash is also useful ( as withdrawing cash for all activities with the withdrawal limits would be a nightmare )

Loved the location, surrounded by rice fields. Out of the tourist zone. We loved it, we stayed an extra night. Very relaxing, the owner answers very quick on whatsapp and shes very nice and welcoming. She cooked us breakfast and dinner, very good and reasonable price. The rooms are clean and warm, the bed was comfortable as well. If you need to book tours or have any questions, the owner has answers and books it for you. We had our own motorcycles so it was easy for us to go from place to place, if you’re travelling by bus and train i think you can have access to a scooter with the owner if you ask. 100% recommend, it’s calm and its a great price !! Thank you for everything :)

Staff were so sweet and helpful! Bed was comfortable. Gym was clean and equipment was nice, bonus that it was empty when I used it. Indoor pool was so lovely. I purchased a massage and it was so relaxing and soothing. I also got to use their sauna in their spa facilities before and after my massage. Breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had in Vietnam. Loved my stay.

The place was very clean, looked very kept and styled and cozy! The room itself had a private bathroom, nice view and quick-heating shower. We also had to do a load of laundry, and were able to do it at the hotel for a great price. The owners and their daughter were very helpful, understanding and kind! The location of the hotel was in a perfect spot in the center of Phong Nha:)

    Beautiful and clean hotel. Friendly staff. We were on the 9th floor and had a great view of the beach and road below. Fairly close to the train station, but not too busy in the area. It was nice to walk along the beach (no swimming allowed), and we enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel for an affordable and tasty dinner. A great option for our family of 5 (the hotel brought in a roll-away bed for our youngest child). Clean and comfortable, with friendly staff.

    Very comfortable stay...we booked last minute after we arrived late on a very delayed train after flooding and Typhoon in central provinces. The staff did not speak English but helped with Google translate to have the bus pick us up in the morning to get us to Phong Nha. Great bed..quiet and comfortable stay.

    We liked the local eateries serving traditional food. The locals were the friendliest we have met so far. The area is really chilled and the residents of Dong Hoi seem of a happy disposition. Paradise cave is well worth a visit. Get a private taxi there for 7am opening and you may be lucky enough to have the entire cave to yourself, as we did! Try the eel noodles. If you’re from the UK the eels don’t tast like they do at home, they are meaty and have zero fishy taste or odour. Delicious. If you fancy a craft beer, M Steakhouse has amber ale, stout and pale ale. We went here for a break from Vietnamese food and wasn’t disappointed.

    A long boat ride into the cave followed by a quieter paddling inside. The caves is huge largest I've ever been and very impressive with the structures. After boat ride, we walked a short while allowing to view them up close.

    The communal family connections I saw as I roamed through the streets gave me a smile on my face. It's a pretty quiet city, especially when compared to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Overall, a good in between city to visit to get to one of my favourite places. Phong Nha Village and Caves.

    We have been to Phong Nha many times, 8 times already. We go Phong Nha for a quiet and peaceful time and at the same time you have the opportunity of adventures like visit the biggest cave in the world (booked in advanced)

    We loved the caves up in Phong Nha National Park and the whole surroundings. It was a great excursion. We rented scooters in Dong Hoi and drove there. Nature is amazingly beautiful. There is not much traffic, but it's good to be at the Paradise Cave early. When the tour groups arrive, the atmosphere gets destroyed, as everywhere. The boat trip into Phong Nha Cave was nice. There we went later in the afternoon, again because then the groups have gone. We preferred staying down in Dong Hoi because it's more of a local scene there are excellent restaurants in town.
