On Grab this equates to about 80 - 90,000 Vietnamese Dong. The hotel is very large, has a massive poo, a private beach area and plenty of outside areas to seat. The food here is very good and quite a varied menu. The poolside bar is lovely and a full array of drinks and snacks. Our room was a two bed ocean front facing room. The equipment in the room was good, lovely bathrooms with rainfall showers. The beds were extremely comfortable, my wife is extremely fussy over bed comfort and she gave it 10/10. The aircon in te apartment was excellent, one in each bedroom and one in the lounge. The staff are to a man/woman lovely, nothing is too much trouble. When we had a small issue - not hotel or staff related James the manager listened and did what he could to resolve the issue - think German tourists and sun loungers! The communal areas are large and well kept, as are the extensive gardens. The hotel appears to cater mainly to Asian tourists, but it was superb for us westerners as well. The breakfast buffet is enormous and very varied. Prices in the hotel are higher than outside venues, but not stupidly so. My wife used the spa and said it was extremely good. The location was perfect, the pool was amazing, price was extremely good value… and then of course the staff. Linda and Kevin were absolutely perfect. Between providing us with the best recommandations, organizing our rides to the airport, their friendliness and how accommodating they were… Literally made us feel at home. Kevin was reaching out long before our check-in to make sure our arrival would be perfect, and he did such a great job. Simple quaint town with easy food and transport. Food was awesome and plenty to choose from. About 2 night's stay is sufficient leaving days to spend elsewhere in the area. Souvenir and craft shops looked really good, be prepared to bargain a little but most owners are not overly aggressive. Nice views by the river for sunsets. We rented the entire property for a group of 6 people. Everyone has their own room and bathroom which was great and the bedrooms are very comfortable and large with very big beds and phenomenal air conditioning. Communal areas need work tho!! We couldnt enter the kitchen due to a horrific smell from our arrival and there was no plave to relax by the pool. Outdoor furniture would be good. Overall, in particular due to air conditioning, we enjoyed our stay and host was very responsive via whatsapp but not sure Id recommend due to lack of quality communal space, mass of bedding and cleaning ongoing on upper level and fowl kitchen.Guest review byAmy Carroll23Ireland - 8.0

If you want to get a feel for a sleepy town which is not a tourism magnet then this is a place to experience a real local town in Vietnam. Add to that the Quang Nam museum in the center of town is very interesting to visit. Hopefully there will be more information for foreign visitors around! The beach is not that far and it is worth to rent a bike or car and spend sometime around some of the villages around the coast there. They have a lot of characters. An Bang beach is the perfect base for a visit to Hoi An. It’s lovely to have the beach for the day with the town being only a 10 minute taxi away for the night time lanterns. It's a beautiful beach - golden sand, warm sea, gently shelving so v safe for kids. Lots of lovely beach bars and restaurants but not a glitzy party place. This is an island. There are no hotels and cars on it. Only guesthouses and bikes. Great nature and diving. You can drive up to the lighthouse, but circular movements around the island are now impossible, in several places there are collapses of stones.
