We stayed in room 3101 nice living room with fireplace with wood setup, couch 2 chairs and a round table, small terrace off the back looking out over garden. Refrigerator and bar area on back wall of living room, atrium between bedroom and large bathroom. Large bedroom comfort and quiet, peaceful place. Service impeccable from everhone great breakfast buffet or a la carte, nice restaurants, and shops, spa was booked so we couldn’t go. Fabulous garden grounds for walks. Great main bar with terrace. Great golf highly recommend the links. Will go back to play again if in SA again!

The proeprty was easy to find and access was just as easy with the access code the hostess sent us prior to us arriving. The chalet was open when we got there so we could immediately go in, unpack and stare at the views. Although linen and towels was provided, there was no coffee or tea, which was not a problem because we always have cappucino sachets in the car. Otherwise a fully equipped kitchen was available to prepare meals. An airfryer is always an added bonus because it's so easy and quick to use. There was no TV, which suited us perfectly. There was, however, good strong wifi to check up on things at home. Bathroom and bedrooms is spacious and the beds veeeeery comfortable with pillows I wanted to take home because they didn't make my neck hurt when I woke up. This is not a 5 star hotel but for the price I doubt you will find any better. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back soon

Tranquil & quiet location surrounded by beautiful mountains. We enjoyed the well kept gardens and the sunset views.
Our hosts kept checking in to ensure our stay is as comfortable as possible, we used their braai facilities which was well equipped and specially prepared for our use.
We enjoyed a breakfast at the tea garden before heading out to explore in Oudtshoorn, nearby.

Amazing stay, one of our favorites so far here in SA. Amazing room, big , comfortable and has everything we needed. The view was to die for, and sleeping with the sound of the ocean was wonderful. Incredible breakfast and staff that go above and beyond. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back for longer than two days next time

The property is right on the beach, reachable from the garden. We slept with the balcony doors open to listen to the waves and it was just the most incredible thing. The hosts were super nice and helpful, they helped us to braai and gave us great tips on what to do in Wilderness. We will definitely come back!

Although every thing was excellent-specially the old owner and his daughter - location - view - big room - the friendly staff but the furniture was old - no left so you have to carry the luggage up the stairs but for us it was fine and it didn’t bother us

We enjoyed the scenery and quietness around the Wilderness Lake View. We were also thankful for Spar being close by to get cold drinks during a hot and sunny day with a scorching sun burning on our skin adding vitamin D and a tan to keep the holiday spirit alive!

place was stunning, however when i booked was noted we had to vacate the place between 8-12am, we had cleaning staff demanding we leave
at 9.30 so they can clean as new tenants arrive at 2.. we were intending to leave at 10, they could not wait and insisted to invade our space. very unnecessary as the cabin was kept as we found it. i think the maids must
understand we are the paying customer not them. bit of a spoiler.

Hoekwil is beautiful with lots to see - there is a big tree nearby which you can visit (make sure to wear comfortable shoes). There are also a few nice places to eat, drink coffee and enjoy the quiet surrounds. The accommodation in the area is also very nice and neat.

Recommended for those travellers to do a quality stop over or spend some quality time together for a couple of days. Beautiful view of the sea and the sunset is amazing.
Then you have Nerinne and Danie to make you feel at home.
You have all the facilities right there to braai and kuier.

I visited Wilderness not as a tourist or holidayer but to visit cherished friends who live on Lake Road. That said, I found Wilderness very appealing with lots of things to do for those who are so inclined; a number of very good restaurants certainly appealed to me. Naturally for me, I find the bustle of holiday season a little wearing but acknowledge that is a must for local merchants.

George is a wonderful starting point for exploring the beautiful Garden Route. A variety of activities, like the southern hemisphere's biggest hedge maze, proximity to Wilderness and Victoria Bay and some lovely restaurants makes for a great stop.
