Offering an outdoor pool, Nkorho Bush Lodge is set in Sabi Sand Game Reserve overlooking the African plain. The lodge has stylishly thatched chalets and a traditional Boma. The experience from checkin to checkout was phenomenal. Upon arrival we were greeted with a refreshing towel and cold water. The game drives (in our case led by ranger dawie) at 5.30 am and 4 pm were excellent, we were given free mosquito spray as well as water, chocolates etc every day. We saw the big 5 + wild dogs (quite rare). The pool and deck on the premise are great to relax in and the massage was excellent. Breakfast and lunch were extensive and beverages are quite cheap to purchase. Honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had when staying at an accommodation. The people here make you feel really at home. When you do stay make sure you read up on the customary tips for the ranger and tracker (these two are the real MVP’s!). You won’t regret coming here, going to Nkorho is a stay you’ll never forget.

Located in the Balule Nature Reserve, Muweti Bush Lodge offers the opportunity for wildlife encounters at its waterhole, where elephants and other game come to drink. The owners went far out of their way to ensure my comfort, transportation to and from the airport, transportation to a guided tour of Kruger Park, etc. Meals were timely and delicious. The game drives on the nature reserve ensured memories of a lifetime - elephants, giraffes, and other wild animals close to our vehicle. Extremely expert guides.

We had an amazing safari experience at Shindzela. A big advantage of visiting the Timbvati Private game reserve is the intimacy of the game drives with the animals, and that it is not crowded like Kruger or other areas. We had two safari vehicles and when spotting the animals, did not have a crowd of people observing the animals. Shindzela exceeded my expectations. i was expecting a rustic "rouging it" experience and was pleasantly surprised by how well maintained and comfortable the tents were. The property was renovated a year ago and the tents seemed posh to me. the en-suite bathroom was large with a ample walk in shower and the hot water was plentiful. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens and heavy comforters to keep us cozy in the winter. They provided maid service daily and nightly turn down service with hot water bottles to keep us warm and cozy. the only thing missing were the chocolates on the pillows..lol! Nightly dinner was around a romantic campfire, buffet style with linen tablecloths and napkins and camp lanterns. The food was good, not gourmet but tasty. We stayed in tent #5 with a great view of the waterhole. Every day we saw different animals congregate, impala, kudu and a large herd of cape buffalo one afternoon. What an incredible sight from the porch of your tent! But the highlight were the game drives, two daily early am 5:30 am wake up call was brutal but worth waking up for! the seconf drive was late afternoon and we would enjoy happy hour in the bush during sunset and then view the nocturnal habits of the animals, getting back to camp around 7:30 pm in time for dinner. Our guide Sam and tracker, Raymond were awesome. They are seasoned bush veterans with over 20 yrs experience and were so knowledgeable! We saw the BIg 5 during our 3 day safari and followed a Pride of 8 lions for two days and were lucky enough to see the kill and feast. We also managed to spot a leopard sleeping on a tree limb on our night safari drive!

I was delighted to see that the small number of guest each had their own bungalow. The bedroom and bath areas were larger than I expected and there are plenty of common areas so people can be private or talk among the other guest. The staff was very friendly and desiring to accommodate. Most of all is the quality of the Safari and the animals that roam the property. The guide was very knowledgeable and always concerned for our safety. I highly recommend this property for you safari.

The room was very inviting and comfortable. We had a view of the river and one of it's inhabitants, a crocodile, could be seen from our deck. Couldn't fault the guides or any of the staff. Trip of a lifetime. Thank you all.
