I like the place because it is very quiet, one had a rest without any noise. The place is very near to Savannah Mall and we ate at Nando's. Phalaborwa as a town was a deep disappointment.
Phalaborwa as a town was a deep disappointment. The roads are in a very bad state and the general condition of the streets, pavements and rubbish lying around is a disgrace for the municipality. There are no streetlights working and the overall deterioration of the town is the last thing one wants to show overseas visitors. The tar road leading to the Kruger gate is obviously in a good condition but that is all. The Pick and Pay and the Spur are closed due to a fire incident and there are not a lot of restaurants to go to dinner for.Guest review byKarinSouth Africa - 2.0

The owner should consider removing all those concrete bed base,they are so uncomfortable and if you lose concentration moving around those small rooms you can easily get injured.The shower and toilets are so small ,it is difficult to move around. I was booked for two nights but slept for only night and had to find alternative accomodation.They also have an entertainment area so on sunday the 27th April 2025,they play loud music as early as 10h00.Guest review byGregorySouth Africa - 8.0

The staff, the surrounding and the set up was amazing. The poor flow of hot water in the morning was a concern. A few more activities to do around the lodge would/could make the stay more exciting . The place is in urgent need of an upgrade. Almost all the kitchen items were dirty. The pots and pans were old and scratched. The knives were blunt. The dishwasher was broken. The bathroom mats looked like they belonged outside. The grill was rusty. The microwave is extremely old. The living room couches were terribly dirty, and the cushions were worn out and flat. The owner’s personal belongings, like cool boxes, were scattered around. The tap at the kitchen counter had no running water. The shower mats were mouldy. The advertisement of the rooms on the website did not match what we got. The single beds were extremely hard, and the bedding was old. The dishwasher was extremely dirty, mouldy, and broken.
