Love to walk arround Light Tower and drive to Ship Wreck. Food at Dop and Kreef was great and staff very helpfull. Remember to fill up fuel before final drive to Hondeklip. Closest petrol station 20km away.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Soebatsfontein is small with not much in the way of shops.
Soebatsfontein is small with not much in the way of shops. Take what you need unless your accommodation can provide meals. I am not sure there is a garage for petrol/diesel. It is a great remote spot to do day trips to see flowers in flower season. Expect only gravel roads and watch the routes Google maps may send you on. If they take a long time they may be 4x4 routes. The local town hall is opened with interesting crafts during the flower season.Guest review byHelenSouth Africa - 6.0

Hondeklipbaai is quite a depressing, run down village, with limited lighting at night so we were advised not to walk to the local restaurant. If you are keen to get away from it all, it may appeal to you - but for a family with teenagers, not an ideal destination. We were only there for a night; so did not get to the reserve; which I believe is spectacular in Spring.Guest review byAlison - 8.0

Hondeklipbaai has not much to offer ito entertainment, a small, ex-fishing village which is rather run down - although the accommodation offered is totally acceptable. The prices on the menu of the harbour restuarant is, for locals travellers, somewhat pricey. Really enjoyed our trip along the rugged coastline to the shipwreck. Even though we were approached, on two occassions, for money and liquor, overall, the local folk are very friendly.Guest review byTrevorSouth Africa
