The Aircon and TV Create add value for sufficient rest. HOWEVER, the toilet should have Air Freshners. Our guys go up on a regular basis for work and are super impressed with everything. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, everything in working order. Their only complaint is that they cannot spend too much time in the garden as they are in Kuruman to work! Other than that, they really enjoy it. Kamieskroon is a very small town.
Kamieskroon is a very small town. You can walk through the town. They do have a small shop for necessities and fresh bread and cooldrinks. They have a butchery and a liquor store. We had breakfast and dinner at Harry's Guesthouse where we enjoyed our stay for 3 nights. We droved through the Skilpad reserve nearby and we had lunch at Murasie. I do recommend their roosterkoek. We took a daytrip to Springbok using the N7 and there we went to the Goegap nature reserve. You can do daytrips to nearby smaller towns from Kamieskroon, but I do recommend a 4x4 vehicle due to the condition of the gravel road.Guest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 6.0

The National Park is exceptional, as most National Parks are in South Africa. The curio shop was quaint and not too highly priced. Although the area experienced much rain, we could get around comfortably with our SUV. We had a good lunch at the restaurant. Service was excellent and friendly. We especially enjoyed the information and photos of previous floods at the main offices. The viewing areas were well-maintained even though some paths were closed for renovation. We still managed to see everything. Nieuwoudtville is a spectacular must visit in the flower season. I keep meaning to visit out of season to compare. I'm sure the people will be just as helpful and friendly. Do make time for a flower tour on the Hantam reserve. Wonderful knowledgeable guide - Simphiwe.
