    My brother and I are on the self drive Safari to South Africa, BOTSWANA and NAMIBIA, and this was any port in a storm, what a DELIGHT this port turned out to be. D UPGRADED US FROM SINGLE ROOM TO HIS BEST ROOM FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE. WE WERE THERE IN THE BITTER COLD OF WINTER BUT THIS PLACE WOULD BE FANTASTIC IN THE SUMMER. D IS EXCEPTIONALLY PERSON AND BREAKFAST WAS OUTSTANDING. I COULD NOT SAY ENOUGH EXCELLENT ABOUT THIS PLACE IF I EVER COME BACK THIS WAY, I WILL STAY HERE. I should add that in the last 10 years I've travelled in Africa almost 20 months, so I speak with some experience

    The service and hospitality. Nothing was too much. We were traveling with a lot of luggage due to having an international flight a few days later and they accommodated every request with a smile. Breakfast was delicious.

    Friendly people. Amazing sites to see. Shopping malls & restaurants in all directions. Spur is located by the beach which makes it even more beautiful to look out at the beach. There's a wine farm situated not far from the location. Perfect location for a break away from your busy life.

    We have stayed for a long weekend in Melkbosstrand and for the past 5 years each January in Strand. The area around Strand and the beach is nice, even though it can get very busy - it is a nice place to stay and lots of things to do.

    This accommodation has a verry bad neighbourhood! You have to drive to a really unpleasant area to get to the small holdings which are then fenced and secured. But huge warning since at the gate shows how safe the area is😉

    Gordons Bay is tucked into the curve of the bay.

    Gordons Bay is tucked into the curve of the bay. It is a quaint fishing town but offers so much. The beaches and the Harbour, where there is always something happening. Cycling from Gordons bay to Betty's Bay is a must. Beautiful coast line to walk around. Wonderful restaurants where you will always find the local people enjoying themselves and want to include the visitors. Many wine farms only a stones throw away. All in all Gordons Bay offered us as a family a wonderful couple of day to exercise, braai, walk and have memorable time together. Excellent destination for just getting away.

    The beach was very pleasant and nice for my grandchidren who enjoyed the beach They also enjoyed the waterworld on the beach, There are great shopping malls in Strand and many convenient stores for the odd things you may require. The people in Strand are mostly very friendly and it was a pleasure going around checking out different places

    I enjoyed getting to know Gordon’s Bay and the second hand book shop, which understandably draws visitors from miles around. The mountain, where Manor House is located in Sir Lowry’s Pass, shared many different delights every day including beautiful horses, an Italian vineyard (ahem winery), a steam train complete with cheerful “toot!” The mountains themselves give the scene an Alpine feel; the urge to sing may be unavoidable.

    The view from the apartment balcony is stunning—perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even sundowners and mimosas. It's also a great spot for board games, though keep in mind there's a restaurant below. The area is close to everything, with convenient stores and a welcoming, friendly town atmosphere.

    Beautiful beaches that are clean and safe. There is a lot of space to relax, take part in activities and for children to play. Facilities such as restaurants and cafes are easily accessible and of high quality. Alongside the beach is a wide walkway perfectly maintained. And don't forget the stunning sunsets. Getting around is easy. Uber is fast and offers clean and safe rides.
