Amazing breakfast, every single item on the buffet was of high quality. Location is quiet and safe, really liked it. Staff was super communicative and provided great support from the beginning, I had a flight delay and they arranged me a transfer from the airport. Beautiful property with modern and clean decoration. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The location is beyond stunning. We had a table mountain view room with a balcony so looked out over the ocean & mountain & it's a 30 second walk to the beach. The room was spotlessly clean with a bath, power shower, king size bed & even a coffee machine The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendlier & nothing was too much trouble. The onsite restaurant was fab. Every meal we had was gorgeous & the cocktails were perfect too.... You've got to have a couple of cocktails on holiday! There's onsite, free parking which was a massive bonus as it's not the easiest thing to park on the waterfront

I was absolutely blown away by this place. I got a free upgrade to a King Size Bed and Room in the new section and it was really beyond my expecations. I travel alot and stay in alot of 5 star Hotels and only booked here because the recommended 5 star was full. I liked the Taj so much that tried to extend my stay for 2 more days but there was no availability. Room was spacious, I liked the class between the bathroom and the main bedroom, allowing for natural light in the bathroom, little small details that made it just that bit more luxurious. I loved it. I asked for "African Tea" (only Ugandans will know what that means :)) and got a delicious Chai masala served to the room. Then the In-house Indian Fine Dining Restaurant was another bonus, basically, was just happy! Keep it up!

I suggested my brother and sister in law, visiting from the USA, stay at the Winchester. It’s a grand dame, but not ostentatious. Very well situated, enjoyed a morning walk on the promenade. Both restaurants are well priced and good quality food! The room is spacious and clean. (And the shower is fantastic too!) The golf course is fantastic, we even got to see some wildlife. Oubaai is definitely worth a visit!

One that we found this weekend after visiting Mossel Bay for the last 15 years is the Butterfly Sanctuary on the R328 in Ruitersbos.     Too much to see and do in 2 days - a lovely town with friendly people and plenty of good restaurant's . Participated in their parkrun at Surval Olive farm - beautiful venue and such friendly, helpful marshals and organizers Oudtshoorn is a warm gem
