The location is perfect. The beach is awesome. The hotel is huge and very well maintained. The food in the buffet is amazing, lots of options, amazing quality and variety. The pools are not very busy, and because there are 3 big ones you won’t need to fight over chairs. Same at the beach. There is a lot of chairs.

The stay was wonderful. Things for improvement : for common guests there are very little shade on the beach. But , If you are Eclave guest you can find palm tent and trees . This was a little unfair in my opinion , but we had a great anyway! Best restaurants : buffet/ Italian and Peruvian! The staff is all so nice and professional. The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained.

Beautiful beach like i have never seen,the room very big very clean and very confortable, room service high class . The staff very nice happy and respectful . Entretainment good and cleaness of the whole area exelent. The food very good and healthy. At the beach exelent security specially sony who was alert at all time. . Richard in the buffet give a good service. Alberto in the pool area bar good service and always happy. Juan Francisco and Osvaldo at the Recepcion were always smileing and very kind .

Food, accommodations, beach The waiters & waitresses in cafe of the palace very Courteous& helpful. My room was always tidy Reservation desk was very good, in person, claimed they didn’t understand English over the phone.

we stayed at the bungalow’s in from of the beach. it was awesome. The personal was friendly and efficient. Restaurant were good. And bars well service.

Excellent all around. The dining options, property, beach and spa are all incredible.

Swim-up rooms are just staggering. This will be my go-to location in La Romana.

We spent 12 amazing days in Catalonia Royal La Romana ( romantic suite) in November this year. This hotel has everything you need for perfect vacation- beautiful beach with turquoise water, gourmet dinners, 3 pools , decent number of restaurants to choose from, 3 bars. But what actually makes this hotel so great is the people. We came late at night to check in and receptionist was so great - he got us drink, room service and free room upgrade. During our stay, receptionists were writing to us asking if we need any help or if they can do anything to make our stay better. Room was big and spacious and housekeeper was coming two times per day- to refil the water, coffe and to change towels. Guys on the beach will gladly assist you if you need spot on the beach ( the only " bad" part is the people coming early in the morning to "reserve" spots , but hotel has nothing to do with it - from what we've been told, it's not possible to make "reservation" for sunbeds and it's againts their policy, but I guess people are just being people.🤷‍♀️) When you are staying with Catalonia Royal, you can use all the facilities from neighborhood family hotel so there is always something to do- dance clases, mini street market, music shows etc. Some people were complaining about employees who are offering Catalonia membership; personally, we haven't had any issues with them. After the short meeting, we told them that we aren't interested and they didn't bother us at all, except asking us if everything is okay and how is vacation going. When it comes to staff, there are many great people working for the hotel. I don't remember all the names, but I'll try to mention some of them. Christina, Iris, Elvin, Randy, Victor , Keuri (? - hopefully I wrote his name right) from the restaurants. Thank you for being so nice and kind and always there for us.
