the resort was capturing the essence of sigiriya. it was very accessible (maybe not walkable but drivable) to the sigiriya and pidurangala rock. staff were very hospitable. asela, premod, and the other managers and resort people were very friendly and personable. the property was very unique in terms of natural architecture and planning. the food was exemplary. we had a late arrival and checkin. they were very accommodating and even kept the kitchen open for us. we highly recommend the nasi goreng, and cheese kothu. breakfast platter was huge. we had a lot of local srilankan varieties including the standard continental breakfast. the green soup was very unique . must try. please ask for it. . make sure to wear mosquito repellent as the property is surrounded by nature. beware of google maps taking you through small and dark streets if you travel in the night.

I’ve said this about many places in Sri Lanka, and it absolutely applies to Sigiriya Forest Edge: the true highlight of this property is the incredible staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, attentive, and made our stay feel both homey and effortlessly relaxing. We were traveling with a baby, and the team went above and beyond to help — from preparing special meals to arranging everything we needed with care and attention. A very special thanks to Tharindu, who took it upon himself to recover and ship our lost jacket from Colombo all the way to Sigiriya. He was also a fantastic resource, helping us discover other local activities and making our stay even more memorable. As for the hotel itself, we loved being surrounded by greenery — it felt like we were staying among the treetops. Our room was comfortable, peaceful, and well-equipped. Also, heartfelt thanks to the restaurant team, who treated us to some of our favorite Sri Lanka.

We loved our stay in The Foresta Resort. Especially its quiet atmosphere. The room is big and very clean. Its balcony has a view to the green field and even the lion rock. The food is also nice. We ordered our lunch and dinner there. price is reasonable. We also enjoyed the big breakfast with the sunshine and different sounds of the nature. All the staffs are extremely friendly and always meet our needs. And the pool is nice. Our whole family had a great time in the resort.

We loved everything about Ima Villa. The staff was the best we have experienced in all our travels. The food was delicious and the grounds were beautiful. Our whole family was sad to leave and the kids wanted to stay longer. We would highly recommend booking at Ima Villa.

The area on which the apartments/houses were built is incredible. Sourrounded by nature, with a perfect view of the two gigantic rocks that every tourist wants to see anyway during their stay. It's quite, you hear nothing but nature which is amazing especially when you just came from a bigger city. All in all, the facilities are modern, clean and everything you would expect from a high level hotel like this. However, what you would probably not expect, is one of the nicest hosts both my friend and I have met during many stays over the last weeks of travelling. We felt welcome the second we arrived and when asking how long the pool is open, the answer was "Don't worry, you're home.". I think that pretty much sums it up. Kalika and Preethika, the hosts and owners, made us feel like a member of a family, and they helped us planning some amazing trips (booking tuck tucks to the rocks at 5am in the morning, a safari to the elephants, a cab to a nearby temple,...). I don't know if I could expecty anything more from a stay, and the both of them were responsible not only for a great stay from dinner to breakfast, but also for everything in between. I strongly recommend staying at this property and speaking with the owners Kalika and Preethika, they are insporing, welcoming, humorous and caring people. What also makes this place special is the fact that every single one working at the property is genuinely friendly, we had many nice conversations with staff at the restaurant. People were sincerely interested not only in our plans but also in showing what the Sri Lankan cuisine has to offer. Speaking of which: Try Sri Lankan breakfast and curry rice for dinner. This was my second time staying, and it once again delivered a comfortable and reliable experience. The staff were just as welcoming and efficient, and the room remained clean and well-maintained. It’s great to see consistency in service and quality. Looking forward to returning again.

    The Resort was like a little private paradise as they have a few private bungalows and don’t accept a numerous amount of guests. In addition the pool and restaurant area were very nice, giving the option of a various food menu (typical srilankan and international). The Staff was probably the greatest part of our stay as they were very kind and always satisfied our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying a few days in Sigyria.

    The resort was everything you could dream about in a holiday. A luxury in the middle of Sigiriya‘s famous rocks and a pool to enjoy the view from. The service and the room was fabulous, the bed was the comfiest we slept in so far. Since we spent our honeymoon there we could not have asked for a more memorable stay. Thank you everyone to make this stay so special for us!
