the resort was capturing the essence of sigiriya. it was very accessible (maybe not walkable but drivable) to the sigiriya and pidurangala rock. staff were very hospitable. asela, premod, and the other managers and resort people were very friendly and personable. the property was very unique in terms of natural architecture and planning. the food was exemplary. we had a late arrival and checkin. they were very accommodating and even kept the kitchen open for us. we highly recommend the nasi goreng, and cheese kothu. breakfast platter was huge. we had a lot of local srilankan varieties including the standard continental breakfast. the green soup was very unique . must try. please ask for it. . make sure to wear mosquito repellent as the property is surrounded by nature. beware of google maps taking you through small and dark streets if you travel in the night.

What a place, when we arrived we were first a little concerned about the isolation...but when we realised where we were staying and what we had access to...it was great to be isolated there. Everything was awesome, the food was next level, we only ate off the Sri Lankan menu and are very glad we did. The room was lovely, the pool very relaxing and the staff very helpful. Having a shuttle to Lion Rock at 0500 in the morning helped beat the crowds and heat and when we finished, the driver had cool water and cold towels, a nice touch. Would love to stay here again one day.

We loved our stay in The Foresta Resort. Especially its quiet atmosphere. The room is big and very clean. Its balcony has a view to the green field and even the lion rock. The food is also nice. We ordered our lunch and dinner there. price is reasonable. We also enjoyed the big breakfast with the sunshine and different sounds of the nature. All the staffs are extremely friendly and always meet our needs. And the pool is nice. Our whole family had a great time in the resort.

We loved everything about Ima Villa. The staff was the best we have experienced in all our travels. The food was delicious and the grounds were beautiful. Our whole family was sad to leave and the kids wanted to stay longer. We would highly recommend booking at Ima Villa.

Hi my wife and I stayed here on our first 2 nights arriving in Sri Lanka. We are both from the UK and currently living in Dubai where the standard is set very very high. Well I have to say we were so so impressed with this hotel. It all comes down to the exceptional service from the manager Ronson and his team. We were greeted with open arms on arrival. Anything we needed was there for us. Personal service. Felt like part of the family throughout our stay. Nice touches throughout. 10/10 experience. Prepared a special breakfast for us in the treehouse on our last day without asking. I mentioned I wanted to go to the gym in the morning at 5am. Ronson ensured the lights and fan was on ready for me in the morning and they even left a fresh bottle of water for me for my training. I can't rate the service high enough. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Location is perfect. Food was good! Compliments to the chef. Wow views of the lion rock and very close. In nature. Everything we needed for our first few nights in Sri Lanka. Being a big fitness buff, the only thing I would slightly improve on would be the gym facilities. But this would be me being very picky. More choice of dumbbell weights - maybe 10kg, 15kg, 20kg, 25kg and 30kg to allow me to keep my training on point. There was a bench and dumbbell weights in the gym so still could train so don't let this put you off. But this again, is me being super picky.

The stilted buildings are really cool and give you a great view. We saw a whole range of amazing birds and some lizards from the balcony, and our room (at the end) had a good view of Sigiriya rock. Amila is a wonderful host and really helped us before our stay with booking things.

This was my second time staying, and it once again delivered a comfortable and reliable experience. The staff were just as welcoming and efficient, and the room remained clean and well-maintained. It’s great to see consistency in service and quality. Looking forward to returning again.

    The Resort was like a little private paradise as they have a few private bungalows and don’t accept a numerous amount of guests. In addition the pool and restaurant area were very nice, giving the option of a various food menu (typical srilankan and international). The Staff was probably the greatest part of our stay as they were very kind and always satisfied our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying a few days in Sigyria.

    The resort was everything you could dream about in a holiday. A luxury in the middle of Sigiriya‘s famous rocks and a pool to enjoy the view from. The service and the room was fabulous, the bed was the comfiest we slept in so far. Since we spent our honeymoon there we could not have asked for a more memorable stay. Thank you everyone to make this stay so special for us!

    We had a wonderful stay at Kaveri Resort; it was like being in a jungle with roomy accommodations and a gorgeous outlook. Our good stay was further enhanced by the outstanding service and delicious meals. Our experience was improved overall by being close to the lake. Highly recommended
