Fantastic hotel, definitely one of the best on Mactan. We've stayed here many times over the last ten years, and every time we come back, it gets better. The staff are extremely helpful and polite, they definitely go out of their way to help you with anything you need. Can not recommend the hotel highly enough, enjoyed every minute of our time there.

This property knows luxury, customer service and hospitality from start to end - airport pick-up was quick, check-in was a breeze with the staff explaining everything about the hotel, rooms were spacious, with a wonderful view of the ocean, Ocean Club Lounge was a fantastic relief from the midday sun and served snacks all-day, beach area was excellent with numerous lounge chairs all around (there’s no need to panic about running out of lounge chairs, despite the hotel being full for the New Year celebrations) and the Breeze Bar just kept the fresh buko flowing, spa facilities were exceptional with their magnificent lobby and treatmet rooms, breakfast at Aqua (cheers to Eloise) was wonderful. Safety was a primary point here, with lifeguards everywhere (there was evening one lifeguard on a boat in the water, about a hundred meters from shore). Lobby lounge was a nice place to unwind. The New Year’s Eve countdown party on the beach also helped make our stay more memorable. Check out was also efficient as you can do it from multiple points (we checked-out at the Ocean Club Lounge.

    Lovely hotel for a stopover, this old girl is built in a lovely classic Asian beach resort style. 30 years on, the rooms are in want of a refresh. They’re still perfectly comfortable and functional and well maintained. This was our second stay here and we’d absolutely come back again.

    Very high level of service, we really enjoyed. It’s well managed. Lot of staff, all very professional. Quiet and peaceful with a lot of nice features to explore. It’s a great option for a family resort holiday.

    The beach resort was very clean. Salute to the housekeeping staffs as they are so hardworking and approachable. I like the design of the resort. Cultural but some rooms are a bit rusty. Our AC was leaking on the first night then on the third day it would not even get cold in the room. We let them know about the problem since day 1 but we are not fuzzy so we still stay in the same room but no one really followed up so anyways.

    I've stayed at all luxury resorts in Cebu/Mactan and the Reef is by far the best when it comes to the breakfast. Great variation from day to day. One day I asked if the enchiladas contained pork, which they did and which I don't eat, so the helpful staff asked the chef to make a vegetarian enchilada for me. Overall 5/5. First time I had an early check-in in Cebu in 10 years (we arrived at 11 and the room was ready). All other places you have to wait even if the room is ready.
