Our stay in Kato Dool - Aswan was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, with cozy beds and a stunning view of the Nile. The entire staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the architecture and natural beauty of the place are truly unique. What made the experience even more special was being able to walk down to the Nile and bathe along its peaceful shores — a simple yet magical moment that created a deep sense of connection with the land. We also took a tuk-tuk to the nearby Nubian village, which added a rich cultural layer to our visit. Watching the sunrise and sunset by the room balcony was unforgettable. It was an extraordinary experience. I definitely plan to return and highly recommend it!

Obelisk Nile Hotel Aswan Resort is located on the Nile Corniche, just 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Aswan. All rooms have a garden view. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night but we hoped to stay longer. The room was big, beautiful and comfortable. The view on the Nile was great.

The reception team reached out right after I made my booking and even checked in about my arrival time, which was a nice touch. When I got there, they gave me a full run-through of the resort—restaurants, gym, all the facilities. The Jazoor restaurant was a real highlight: great food, beautiful Nile view, just the perfect combo. Breakfast was just as good in the lounge. Big thanks to Dina Hassan at reception, she was super supportive and really made the stay even better.

This was the highlight of our trip. We only stayed for two nights but wish we would have booked longer. We have never felt so welcomed anywhere we've stayed before. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make sure we were happy, well-fed and were enjoying our stay. The room and bathroom were spotless, beds were comfortable, and the food was great. The building itself was stunning and the court area with the on-site restaurant was ideal. Prices were incredibly reasonable for food and drink, too. It was the perfect spot to relax and watch the world go by and watch the boats on the Nile in a peaceful but vibrant area. The pick up and drop off service was on time and meticulously managed, with clear signage and prices that were more than reasonable. Going into Aswan, the hotel manager, Mahmoud, arranged a boat for us to cross the Nile rather than take a car which was incredible! The hotel is in the market area, so we had a great stroll through the streets on our full day there and chatted to lots of people. It was a safe, welcoming and peaceful paradise - thank you! We will be back...but for longer next time :)

The location is in a tranquil nubian village on the west side of the Nile. If you're with the car, you easily exit on a highway towards the Aswan Dam of Abu Simbel. The courtyard is a traditional one, the room was big, clean and with a good wi-fi. The host was careful and the surroundings looked safe. We also parked the car at the gate front and it was ok. The breakfast was tasteful and we served it outside in the courtyard. On the evenings, the lights from the courtyard make a warm and nice atmosphere. A good value for money!
