We couldn't have been happier to stumble across this absolute paradise! From the moment you arrive you feel like you are meeting family. We loved the secluded beach, taking the kayaks out to explore the nearby islands, laying on the hammocks and sharing mealtimes with everyone. Our food was included in our stay and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have the most incredible view of mount Kinabalu during sunrise. It was a real highlight of our travels in Malaysia and the perfect spot to avoid the crowds and appreciate the stunning scenery and local life. Don't hesitate to book!

Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. Breakfast is excellent, with a variety of food that I would have never imagined for such a remote location Get your own sim card for the internet and you won't have problems. Otherwise, consider you're in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the peace and the nature rather than worrying about social media :) The whole staff is super, and the shuttle bus to the airport and to the national park is a bit advantage. There is a mini market close to the hotel, but, if you want to have something more to eat than peanuts and chips, go to a supermarket before getting to Mulu

There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Excellent place to stay; beautiful quiet setting in nice garden with lovely pool and jacuzzi. Rooms are big, comfortable beds, good shower, clean, coffee/tea making facilities. Breakfast is also good and they bring you for free to town. (About 15 minutes ride). Everybody is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place! Don't stay in central Semporna, this little gem is 1000 times better.
