The Botanica Sanctuary is a peaceful haven that combines beauty, relaxation and discovery. Comprised of 166 luminous rooms – including 38 Suites, two restaurants and a rooftop infinity pool. Room provided as per request, next to each other and wish for my son birthday. The room clean, a bit small but still nice.

13 km from Watu Dodol in Banyuwangi, Green ijen homestay and tour features accommodation with access to spa facilities, wellness packages and fitness room. Wonderful host. Accommodation is great value. Property, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were super clean. Bed and AC were comfortable. We booked the Ijen tour with the host Johan and had a great experience. Price seemed fair. We got helpful recommendations from Johan's nephew for local spots. Johan offers other tours we wished we could have taken advantage of (but we had to move on to our next destination). We'd stay here again!

14 km from Museum Bank Indonesia, Gold Coast PIK Apartments by Host Jess is a recently renovated property set in Jakarta and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Perfect location, the building has amazing facilities (kids playground, multiple pools, gym, sauna), and the location is fantastic! Safe and quiet but still close to the city, a gorgeous seaside mall (PIK Avenue) and lots of food options. I highly recommend the sea view options! We were onto here for a short rest stop before our next flight to Bali but enjoyed our stay so much we are considering coming back to Jakarta a little early to explore the area more :)

Situated in Banyuwangi, 38 km from Watu Dodol, Lintang Luku Tent Resort Ijen, Banyuwangi features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. 10/10 experience. Crazy to think that I woke up to the gentle sound of birds chirping and river flowing. The views I enjoyed from my bed were surreal. My tent was comfortable and had all the things I needed. Alas Restaurant was superb: food excellent, the views unbeatable. Truly a great experience!

This charming resort sits atop Tanjungan Village’s hills in Central Java, 1 km from Borobudur Temple. Nestled in the jungle, the setting is exquisite! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the filled with artful sculptures and historic touches. Around every corner of this vast resort there is something to delight in. The room was huge and felt like a romantic step back in time. The dark wood interior was filled with elegant touches, antiques, draped king bed, massive desk and several comfortable seating areas. There was a lovely balcony that wrapped around the room and overlooked a spectacular jungle. There was also both a private pergola and pool which made us feel like royalty.

Arnez Tropical Cottage is set in Pronojiwo. The property is non-smoking and is located 34 km from Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. This place is fantastic. The best hotel of our journey. Situated in a beautiful tropical village under the volcano, with beautifully designed small houses. All the details, everything is just beautiful in it. And super comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely recommended. The kitchen is great too and the view from the dining area is stunning.
