The manager, Vikas Sirohi is clever bussinessman and massive Tiger enthusiast did everything he could to make sure I and my wife saw tiger in the wild. He personally came with us (at 5.15am) to a different gate to the national park where and made sure we had the best tracker and driver to give us the very best chance of seeing a tiger. Sure enough it worked, because we have seen 4 tiger after hunting, during a meal. Wonderful experience and highly recommended. The property is family run, Vikas' father, who also lives there, is very nice and the entire staff, including Sagar Dharate, are extremely helpful. The garden is extraordinary, there is a sanctuary, lots of birds and sometimes a group of monkeys visit.

I will start by saying that ramlal and his family are the most hospitable and helpful people I have ever had the fortune of meeting. Without them, the incredible time we had in bandhavgarh would never have been possible. The property is located in the buffer zone between town and jungle which gives the amazing feeling of relaxation and adventure within a safe and comfortable environment. The rooms are very clean and well prepared. A comfortable bed, inviting sitting area out front and hot showers are a luxury so far away from most modern conveniences. The food, prepared and cooked by ramlal and his family are more delicious than most restaurant's I have eaten in. On top of this, we were ferried to and from the safari booking area and then guided through everything which would have been impossible on our own. Coming here with transport is advised. In short, Ramlal went above and beyond in every aspect of running the grounds. He truly is one of a kind and we cannot thank him and those who work with him enough for all their help. We would highly recommend Wildlife Retreat Bandhavgarh to any and everyone interested in seeing tigers and all of the other amazing wildlife. (We were lucky enough to see a tiger and it was an incredible moment for us, as well as many other fascinating and beautiful animals)

We had our pre wedding shoot in 2022 and after 2.5 years going back to the same property gave us those flashbacks of our shoot. We had a great time at shambhala .

I felt extremely welcome from all of the staff at the hotel and they really try and make your stay as great as it possibly can be. They organised for transfers from Katni station, my tiger safari and dropped me to the bus stop upon my departure. The food from the restaurant was delicious (one of my favourite meals I’ve had in India) and they packed me a breakfast to take with me on Safari. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. The hotel manager even checked up on me to make sure I got to my next location safely.

The taste was really nice specially jungli chicken. Really had a wonderful stay. Talking about the most important thing, the budget, it didn’t weigh too much on our pockets.
