Situated on the secluded West Coast of Central Ishigaki Island, 18km from Ishigaki City, 5km from Yonehara Beach, Ishigaki Sunset Cove is set along the beach and rooms with free WiFi access. Among the various facilities of this property are an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. This is not a typical for Japanese hotel in a good sense. The owner tries to get in touch with you and understand your needs and, accordingly, to give you good advises and organize your time. He really takes care of you: he booked dinners for me, drove me to a supermarket to buy some food, explained the options for traveling around. This feature is quite valuable when you travel in such remote resort area. At the end, I had a very pleasant time, snorkeling at good spots, moving around with an inexpensive car rented at the hotel (a car is a must). I must say, I do not share the critics of the provided breakfast: I subsequently stayed in the Comfort hotel in the town, and the breakfasts there were worse, although the price was twice higher.

Setting is small, picturesque rural village in agricultural area beside the ocean, far from Ishigaki town. Peaceful and serene. Should be very quiet, except that frogs (I think they were frogs) were really loud at night in the creek nearby (I slept with the terrace door open). I think that would only be an issue certain times of the year 😊.

The atmosphere was quiet, clean, and relaxing—exactly what we were looking for for a long weekend getaway.

Nice resort, breakfast is nice, nice pools, the cafe Diego is nice, the staff is friendly and willing to help. Welcome drinks in the lobby, even have Orion draft beer, the hotel guests can enjoy coffee, juice, beer in the day time.

The accommodation provides free WiFi, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. The staffs were all friendly and there to help you with anything. We asked for a nail cutter and one of the staffs let us use his own.

So much to do and see, and memories made that will last a lifetime. They did a great job of encapsulating the nature of Ishigaki Island. Really nice area for beach walks and out of the city enough to just chill for a while. I had a great time.

Free WiFi is available in all areas and guests can enjoy marine sports such as diving, snorkeling and windsurfing. The room was amazing, ability to toor the beautiful island with bikes. The staff was very friendly and kind. The resort is beautiful

Art Hotel Ishigakijima is a 10-minute walk from Miyara Dunchi Samurai House. The 4-star hotel offers a public bath, sauna facilities and a seasonal outdoor pool. Free WiFi is available at the entire property. We stayed for 7 nights. This hotel is new and clean. The pool, onsen, sauna, breakfast, especially staffs. There is a bus station right at the entrance so it’s convenient to go around, the also have free shuttle bus to Fusaki beach. The reception lady is always helpful, the pool boy is nice to our kids, we are always the last ones to leave, he didn’t say time to close instead he said you can enjoy the last time of the slide😬so touching! And thanks to Mr. Muramatsu, always around to help and give us good tips. We wish to stay more days!
