We were driving our rented tuktuk from galle to negombo and decided to break the journey up in two days, so we spent one night here. And no regrets because this place was wonderful! The design of the area is peaceful and beautiful, the pool is well-kept without the overwhelming chlorine scent and the staff is friendly and helpful (when it rained they laid out umbrellas at our door!). It all made for a relaxing afternoon of lounging and swimming. The rooms are very clean and spacious, perfect ac and room climate. The bathroom deserves its own mention because there is a waterfall shower which feels luxerious and relaxing! We had dinner and breakfast here and both were very good. I loved the chicken and cheese kottu while my bf found the fish and chips tasty. The fries were thin and crispy! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

A luxurious mini-hotel in a quiet location right on the lake shore. There are only 2 rooms, so 7 days out of 10 of our stay, we were the only guests. A large green area with lots of birds and other animals. An open-air pool with a stunning view of the lake. Very polite staff, always ready to help. The food is quite varied: very tasty local and European dishes. Meals are prepared especially for guests right before serving. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, even pool slippers. No issues with hot water. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away, and the nearest supermarket is a 25-minute walk. By tuk-tuk, it's 15 minutes to Hikkaduwa center and 30 minutes to Galle. The hotel is away from tourist spots, making it the perfect place for a quiet getaway or retreat.

The manager and staff treated us like close friends . The rooms are large, with a great shower and strong WiFi. It is clean and very comfortable. Everyone is there to help you- and make you feel special. My family had a great time.

The amenities were top-notch, with a fantastic pool overlooking a jungle and providing a stunning view of the ocean. The location was also wonderful as the hotel is located at the top of the hill, maintaining a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway in the middle of the jungle with the too view of the Indian Ocean.

A tropical paradise away from the hustle & bustle of the main road. We stayed in the chalet which looks out on to one of the 2 lovely pools. The sun comes up in the morning & shines straight on to the veranda. Beautiful plants, with birds, chipmunks, little lizards & butterflies all around. The room is perfectly equipped, with a comfy bed, small fridge, kettle, en suite. Mosquito nets (not that we needed them) air con, fan & wardrobe. Good WiFi too. All of the staff are wonderful. Very helpful & friendly. They even have a local guide / taxi man on hand for all your transport needs. Ask for Chalanga for your airport transfers, trips or scooter hire. All the staff are very knowledgeable. Breakfast was a real treat. We wanted Sri Lankan dishes, hoppers, daal, sambol & fresh fruit. They laid on a real spread. Fresh juices, beers & hot drinks are available all day too. I think you can get other meals there as well, but we only had breakfast. We highly recommend Arcadia & we were sad to leave! Unawatuna Beach is a 10-minute drive away while it takes 15 minutes by car to reach Galle Fort. We were blown away by our stay at Villa White Queen! Our room was incredibly spacious and felt truly luxurious. The staff were exceptional—so friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The beautiful garden provides a tranquil setting to relax or enjoy a delicious breakfast. The pool is large and sparkling clean, perfect for a refreshing dip. The location is excellent; it's just a short tuk-tuk ride away from the historic Galle Fort. For the price, this level of quality is outstanding. We highly recommend this gem!

Jetwing Saman Villas is located in the peaceful fishing village of Aturuwella in Bentota. Enjoying a beachfront location on the golden sands of Bentota, it offers an infinity-edge pool, a spa and beautiful suites with private balconies. Outstanding! This beautiful resort is sandwiched between two spectacular (and mostly empty) beaches. If you're looking for a peaceful vibe (no kids allowed and no annoying music at the pool), excellent food, outstanding cocktails, excellent service, and amazing sunsets...then this place is for you. We were very warmly welcomed upon arrival and were looked after with meticulous care for the rest of our stay (thank you very much, Sanath!). The room was perfect and the bed (including linens and pillows) was very comfortable. Thank you also to the very kind and generous Chef Thushara and his team for the wonderful Sri Lankan cooking class (delicious chicken curry). Another highlight of our stay was having our sundowners on a hidden patio perched on the rocks and overlooking the surf. The drinks and the view were spectacular! While you're there, also try the spa. Wonderful massages. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay and we look forward to coming back. They are well-equipped with facilities like flat-screen TV and a minibar. Massive property overlooking the beach. The room was huge with ample space. The staff were exceptional. Always smiling and happy to help. We felt so welcome. We had the breakfast buffet and the Sri Lankan options were top notch!
