Set right on the beach, Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa offers beach front rooms, a year-round children's pool, relaxation pool and outdoor lap pool. It also offers water sport facilities and has close proximity to the Galle Fort and Blue Whale watching hubs. The resort also offers a garden with outdoor furniture, a minibar, bathtubs and ironing facilities. This hotel made our trip. If I could afford it I'd just stay there for the whole 10 days we spent on the coast. It's perfect for beginner surfers as it's right on the Weligama beach. We had a free room upgrade from Ocean View to Ocean Vista and we were so grateful to be pampered. I wish we had tried the Big Fish restaurant, it looked fantastic but we had reservations with friends outside the hotel. The service was exceptional and I'd recommend 100% to anyone looking for a stay in Weligamma.

The Rainforest Hideaway has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Deniyaya. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a water park. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. An amazing little cabin off the side of a beautiful river with waterfall you can swim in. This was the most unique and amazing rustic hideaway we were in. Such a special place! The family was super kind and the meals were plentiful and delicious. As it is isolated, you will probably eat all your meals here, they are good and well priced. Jungle tour recommended by Sahara, was fun and interesting. He was very easy to coordinate with for the pickup/dropoff by 4x4 from the nearest town. This place is so special, I cannot recommend it enough.

Featuring a private bathroom with a hairdryer, rooms at the resort also feature free WiFi, while selected rooms also feature a balcony. Guest rooms feature a safety deposit box. The hotel is very well located, directly on the beach with amazing view from the room and from their garden. Next to it is a beach where you can go snorkeling with turtles. Hotel is giving great vibe, very cozy, chill, safe and clean. Stuff is very helpful. Very easy to communicate and they help you with arranging everything, from renting a scooter, calling tuk tuk, room service, they offer you equipment for snorkeling. If i come back i am sure i book it again.

A water park is also available for guests at the lodge. This was one of the best places we've been to on our trip to Sri Lanka. It's in the middel of nature, there is a beautiful waterfall where you can dip into the water and even get fish therapy about a 5min walk from the Hotel. The glass bungalow was incredible, the room was clean, very comfortable and there is a mini fridge with snacks and beverages. Apart from the room, the host and his wife are lovely people, so friendly, warm and welcoming. We had a tasty welcome drink, then they showed us the way to the waterfall, before dinner, the host took us on a little walk to see the surrounding area and after dinner he took us on a little night walk around the house to see the little animals living there. He gave us much information about plants and animals and also organized a guided trip to the rainforest the following day. His wife prepares breakfast and dinner herself and it was by far the best we've eaten on our trip. The accomodation is not easy to find and to access if you are not travelling by car, but you can inform the host and they organize a pickup at a reasonable price. This wasn't a negative point for us as we enjoy the sounds of nature, but if you're a light sleeper it's fair to mention that the sound of the waterfall is quite loud and you can also hear the frogs and circadas quite a lot. That's definitely a pro when you, like us, like to be surrounded by the sounds of nature but may be a con if you want to be in a more quiet place. We really recommend to visit this beautiful place when you are travelling in the Sinharaja area! Thank you so much for everything!! :)

The place is in a very quiet place 2 minutes walk to the sea and the fish market. The owners are very nice. I arrived at 7 am and got the room without any problem.

Situated in the Mirissa Beach district in Mirissa, 500 metres from Whale Watching Mirissa, Resort of Happiness features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property and views of garden. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. This was probably the best place to stay in the entire Srí Lanka. The room was quite big with a balcony and stunning sunset views and garden. I really appreciate multiple sockets as in some other places I have encountered only one socket, which was really bad to charge multiple electronic devices. The location is perfect, it's close to the beach and town center. The hospitality of the owner was amazing. She brought me 2 bottles of water and a welcome drink. I will miss those breakfasts so much. I recommend staying in this place so bad that I wish to come back.
