Strömstad
Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away.
All cottages at Daftö have a living room with a seating area and cable TV. Each has a furnished terrace and a fully equipped kitchen.
This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous!
I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.
Varberg
Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. Varberg Fortress is 3.2 km away.
This resort is 65 km from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, and the property offers free parking. Varberg Train Station is a 10-minute drive from Apelvikstrand Strandhus.
Fabulous location right beside the beach, staff were super friendly and house was clean and had everything we needed.
Grebbestad
Bicycle and boat rental is available at Tanumstrand SPA & Resort Stugor, as well as mini golf and a tennis court. Outdoor and indoor pools with slides, along with a sauna and hot tub are also on site. A variety of lawn games can be borrowed. The view in the morning and in the evening is quite special and there's direct access to a walking path right by the water. Also, the experience to be spending nights at a cabin is quite special. The staff is very friendly.
Sundsandvik
The cottages of Hafsten Resort are only a few steps from Skagerrak Sea. All are decorated in whites and blues, and the kitchenettes include a refrigerator, microwave and kettle.
Hafsten Resort’s à la carte restaurant serves a mix of Scandinavian specialities and international dishes. In summer, the garden terrace is a nice place for afternoon coffee or dinner.

The quality of the build , the location and the facilities all top drawer
Location is good for travelers. Near shopping malls. Room was clean and had view. Parking is free. I also lliked the collapsible bunk bed setup. Very clever. Reception was polite and informative. It's obviously not a famiiy resort but very good for transit travelers. Very close to highway. Eating shopping is just next door. Some golf areas seems to be closeby but we did not have a chance to look at.
I loved the resort! I would love to come visit for leisure some other time again. The view out of my room was so cosy, beautiful and green!
this is a camping resort. so, they are busy during vacation times i guess. when we went not so busy. we were only there one night as we were passing by. It reminded me of wolly world from chase vacation movies. the people there are very friendly.
