A pleasant surprise for us. Large very old but well maintained victorian grand hotel. stunning position in very cute coastal Port Patrick. Staff were all friendly and super helpful. Excellent meals. Great value. We would highly recommend.

No negatives from our point of view. Plumbing a bit Victorian but the trade off's out weigh.

There is a bistro upstairs and it is absolutely brilliant. Local ingredient, perfectly balanced and so yummi. I would fly to Scotland again only to eat there again.

Garden setting was lovely. Reception lady friendly.

This pod is quite cramped, but well designed for a tiny space with a fold down couch bed. There is no table to work at, you will need to go outside. We were also blown away by the fact that local restaurants wouldn't serve us unless we were a guest there. Never heard of anything like it before. There was not an oven as stated in the facilities list at the time of booking (though there is a microwave and grill top). If going to Loch Lomond for a cruise I would stay at a bigger town.

Staff were welcoming and hotel was clean but tired

The room and bed was very small for 2 people. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable which is a personal experience.
