What a find! This lovely pub not only served delicious food in the restaurant , part of the premises was used as a daytime cafe called The Twisted Spoon which served so many different teas and coffees and cakes that you are spoilt for choice. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable with views over the countryside. Ample car parking beside the premises.

The location was excellent - 7 minutes walk to Holborn tube station. Very spacious bedroom and lounge areas - great for a few nights. Kitchen was well equipped with good quality fittings. Plenty of hot water, which was needed after a long day walking round London. I had excellent communication from Dave throughout - very clear and timely.

The property is on a busy corner of Theobolds Road, and with single-glazed windows, I did experience a lot of road noise at night. Not a problem if you’re not a light-sleeper like me! The bathroom was clean and tidy but could do with a refurb. The chains for the window blinds are very high up the window so you’d need to stand in a chair to reach them if you are short.

The property was excellent and was of the highest standard. There were very clear and concise instructions on how operate the equipment such as washing machine, and alsoon how to dispose of rubbish. Overall we couldn't have wished for better.

For all our time there we couldn't use the main tv in in the living room, despite following the instructions. It's only response what to state that there was a weak or no signal.we contacted the host who informed us that Virgin was down. Don't think it would be down for that period of time. Also it would have been good to have a radio for some background noise when the tv was inoperable. Other than those points as previously stated the property was excellent.

Good location, spacious, traditional features. Cosy kitchen with window seat with most of the items you would need. Couple of basic things missing in the kitchen but were delivered very quickly. Lovely green outlook from the kitchen.

Could do with large rugs and curtains to absorb the noise of the creaking floorboards in the flat and the neighbours above. Make sure you bring slippers as no shoes allowed in the flat and the floorboards sometimes catch your socks. Coating on the bath and sink was badly damaged. The bathroom smelt of mould and mildew which was not ideal. TV and heating did not work for the first couple of days until fixed. One of the beds was not that comfortable, probably not helped by a foam topper and the legs holding up the middle of the bed at the wrong angle (only noticed when leaving and may have been fixed quickly if noticed earlier)

Great staff, very helpful. Had a small issues with the room that was brought to our attention, and was fixed swiftly which was great. Although it was a pub , we were not disturbed by noise.

Everything. Warm, friendly welcome. Comfortable and exceptionally clean room. Peace and quiet. Excellent breakfast. One big plus - real milk for my tea!
