  The cottage was beautiful. The decor was lovely and really fitted in with the cottage aesthetic. The host could not do enough for us, on arrive she showed us around the property and explained how to use the hot tub. There was a welcome basket left with tea, coffee biscuits etc. it was such a lovely touch. We didn’t get to use the hot tub as was visiting family and too busy sightseeing around Scotland. Will definitely be back! And would definitely recommend. In such a brilliant location too if visiting the top locations of Scotland.

  The staff are great and accommodating. The food at the restaurant is very good. The gym is small but has plenty of equipment and free weights.

  The pool is tiny, and very warm so not the place for any serious swimming. it would be good to have cold showers for after a steam/sauna too,

  Location superb, 3 min walk to Paddington station, located in a nice square. Place is nicely decorated and rooms are impecable.

  Staff don’t smile, it looks like they just want to avoid talking to you at all cost. The rooms and hotel have been refurbished recently and the whole place looks and feels impecable. Lifts and rooms are on the small side but for me as a solo traveller was ok. Coffee and nesspresso Machine and cookies was a nice touch who made up for no having breakfast or restaurant.

  The beds were comfortable but the double wasn’t a double and was very small for a couple

No bowl either Windows broken in every room so wouldn’t shut, shampoo fell off in night due to draft and woke everyone No towels in kitchen to dry up or hands Dishwasher but no tablets No hair dryer Not enough shower towels No pull cord on blinds in lounge Drawers broken in bedrooms Only 2 coat hangers in one bedroom Asked the host to recommend places to visit and eat as the trip was for my daughter who is considering uni there. They said they weren’t from area so didn’t know! How can you rent out a property and not know key things about the area it’s in to help out your guests????

  Frankly, just tons of things went wrong - they had „lost“ my prepaid (!) reservation - which then delayed check-in by over 4 hours - the breakfast is mediocre at best - the rooms are tiny (even for London standards) - it’s quite loud (single glassed windows, very thin walls, old cracking doors etc) - the staff seems overwhelmed by pretty much every question
