We didnt have breakfast as my husband was doing the London Marathon. Hotel great in a good location close to everthing and the staff where very helpful. Very comfortable bed great nights sleep for my husband after running 26 miles

Maybe just offered a bacon/sausage roll for breakfast instead of a full blown continental which you had to sit to eat would have been nice to take with us especially in our situation but otherwise everthing else perfect

Location was up a steep hill, more hilly than expected, views not as good as we hoped but the breakfast was superb, generous portions and ample choices, only let down by poor coffee. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly

Rockhopper Cottage is a very comfortable property in an excellent location near the River Deben. The nearby pub is very convenient and serves excellent meals. There are lots of places of interest to visit nearby.

There are various instruction manuals in the cottage for the oven, etc., but I couldn't find one for the microwave and I struggled to fathom out how it worked. This was a minor problem.

The family room had a sofa bed as the second double in the room which I was surprised about. But it was actually broken & the bed kept collapsing which wasn’t great. We asked for a cot to be brought, the member of staff didn’t dress the cot very well we had to fully re make the bed & there really wasn’t space for it when I think there should have been with it being a family room. Also the fridge in the room was leaking so we had a wet carpet floor. And the cleaning staff never came In and cleaned between ours nights of staying.

Simply as dog owners found light coloured carpets throughout accomodation (including in kitchen area) daunting. Would have benefited from an outside hose (we found a watering can) to clean dogs and maybe an overhanging porch for rainy days as directly enter onto said cream carpet from outdoors. We placed towels down but maybe a more serviceable runner along patio door entrance would be handy.

Staff no very polite Rooms particularly the bathroom not very clean Stains on the carpet When you open the door to the room you have to walk up stairs before you can shut the door If you are larger than a size10/12 you would struggle with the bathroom as the sink restricts getting into the shower cubicle If anyone is staying in the room above you can here every creak in the floorboards and every conversation The mattress was very hard with no blackout blinds so very light in the morning as they do not properly cover the window For the cost of the room and we upgraded to a bigger room I would say it was a waste of money certainly would not recommend to anyone.
