The room and bed were very large and comfortable. Good tea and coffee facilities. Great to have a fridge. Lovely large bathroom, and the bath worked well. The breakfast had everything I expected, in a lovely light room, with views. The location was good. I could walk into Bournemouth, or catch the bus from opposite the hotel.

The shower didn't work. The water didn't get hot enough, and it had very little power. I experienced a shuddering vibration on the floor, which affected also the bed. Felt like the vibration of a freight train passing by!! This happened mainly from 6 - 9 pm. I reported both concerns.

Excellent fresh cooked breakfast. Friendly, open host - just like staying at your aunties for the night. Town is small but friendly and river area picturesque.

A communal lounge area or somewhere similar to relax or read would be nice if you’re staying multiple nights. We were a single night only so not a big deal as you arrive late pm and move on again am.

I wondered if the sheets in my bed had actually been used before. They certainly werent crisp but rather looked and felt unironed. I thought about asking for a room change but it was late so I bore with it but for a room that cost over £200 for the night I thought that was poor. Also the towels were frayed and carpet stained in multiple places.
