The room was funky cute and comfortable. The shower was remodeled and great. But it's all of the extra touches and the friendliness of the staff that made this a great pitstop: the firepit, the beer and cocktails, and the team is just incredibly friendly and helpful. I slept with the disco ball on all night as a night light.

I was going to complain about the weird square pillows that are difficult to sleep on when you're a stomach or side sleeper... but I'm writing this from a hotel room in Albuquerque that has the same pillows. It might be an AZ-NM thing. [in response to your response: NO, the pillows are absolutely not a deal breaker! I've just never encountered them before until I stayed in your property, then the next night in ABQ were the same pillows. It's clearly a regional thing. No big deal!]

The tub stopper was broken, the drain had mold around it. Sheets on one bed had stains on them, kids slept above the comforter. Pool was out of service.

We weren’t able to control the temp & it was just a little too warm. We also couldn’t control the water temp which was a little too low. The TV’s didn’t work with Alexa & we weren’t able to use Roku - could only use the one in the living room. Other than those things, it was great!

Finding the property was a bit of a hassle. No sign outside that this was the place, and a gate and it was closed so I didnt feel good about opening it and going in. In some states you can get shot for that. Owner had to direct us to the actual parking area. We specifically asked about EV charging, and it was a primary reason we booked there. I looked, but could not find an EV charger anywhere near the parking place, so we just charged elsewhere. We do not usually stay in any Air BNB type places so I do not have a standard for how these should be. But to me this looked like a Mom & Pop renovation on a limited budget. Amateur woodwork, electrical, and tile work. Disconcerting that there is an uncapped gas line in the front room next to an exercise bicycle. Front door is racked and doesnt close or lock easily. Lots of "do this, dont do that" sort of signs that get mocked on TV commercials.
