The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The rooms and facilities were very clean, comfortable, and spacious, which made for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of options to choose from and something for everyone.

  My only complaint is that I thought there would be a restaurant on site for dinner, but apparently there is new management and they were out of food. The bar area is very small and they were also out of certain drinks.

  Very clean, spacious for a couple, really great location and quiet. I would definitely stay here again. The owners have done a really great job making sure they included everything that u may need, all the extras. Gonna find out their other properties too so I can stay.

  Couldn't move the shower head so your hair wouldn't get wet. My hair is long and I hate for it 2 get wet if im not washing it. But I made it work.

  The room was clean, spacious and it was close to several food places nearby (mostly fast food and Denny's). We stayed the night for a concert and it was easy to come and go in this location. Staff was very friendly as well.

  In the handicap bathroom, the shower curtain needs to be about four inches longer. While the tub and bathroom floor had drains, it was still a pain to clean up all the water after showering. Our mattress needed to be replaced. My side had a permanent indentation that didn't flow with my body. We had four adults in our party (dad, mom, brother, and sister) and had to purchase two rooms. It would've been nice to have two queens and a sofa pullout.

  I requested for my room to be exchange as the smell of smoke and cigarettes was unbearable. They said they couldn’t provide me with another room but would send someone to clean the room and nothing was done.

  Our stay at this facility was a great experience overall. Nice location just a short walk from the beach. The host was super nice and welcoming; always reachable if I had any questions. I will definitely book again.
