    - “Great location! The proprietors Olav and Brigitte were fantastic hosts. We rode our bikes on a terribly rainy day, and they assisted us with our baggage and even cleaning the bikes off too. The room was excellent - first class linens, and great bathroom products. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic too - we enjoyed a nice sampling of yogurts, meats and cheeses. We even got to sample several of the cheeses that Brigitte sells in her store. Arcen is a quaint beautiful little town, and La Dominette is right in the center. Wonderful restaurants are within a 50 meter or less walk. This is an outstanding B & B - one of the very best we’ve ever stayed in!!”

      My friend and I had a very late check in (well after 1am) due to an event we attended that ended quite late in the area then an unforseen change to our original plans and the gentleman at the desk was very kind (despite a minor issue with my booking.) My room was exceptionally clean as well (as was the entire hotel.)

      Unfortunately the front desk didn't get notified of my prepaid booking on this app. I had to contact booking.com's customer service line and the operator tried to help but couldn't really fix the problem on the hotel's end and it was about an hour before I could actually check in. Technically I had to pay twice; up front on the app then again when the hotel itself held my room fee on my card for an additional 3 days. It was not my fault and the issue was cleared up by morning so I didn't appreciate the hold on my card. Otherwise the staff and accomodations were excellent.

      The continental breakfast had decent equipment to make waffles. The toasters were good quality. They had 24 hour coffee with cream and sugar, with hot water and tea. They have a microwave in the lobby with utensils. They even cleaned my room while we were there.

      We brought swim suits. The pool wasn’t usable. It hadn’t been filled and was filthy. The outdoors wasn’t inviting or clean.

      The location was excellent and very accessible. Mostly, we were concerned about cleanliness, and were very pleased with what we found—the hotel exceeded our cleanliness expectations. Parking was easy and free. Staff were very courteous. Didn’t use the pool.

      Breakfast wasn’t too great. Very basic. Kinda what you’d expect in a run-of-the-mill basic stay hotels. I expected a bit more. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
