- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  There are so many mixed reviews about this property, but here’s my take on it. Please note, this property is an extended stay so there are residents that are here long-term. The location is good. Walking distance to Aldi, Publix, and other grocery stores and restaurants. The staff were really nice and helpful. The room pictures are accurate.

  WiFi disconnects after a certain time period. The towels are really thin and leave a white film when drying off. There is no kitchenware as stated in the listing. You will need to provide your own utensils, napkins, dishes, etc. There was no telephone or hand soap in the room. People smoke outside on the balconies and in their car so the smell lingers and can go in the room. Please pay attention to the check in time. The office closes at 7:00 pm so you will not be able to get in your room after this time. More care needs to be addressed for the bedding. (See picture)

  The only thing I liked was the view from the porch and the close proximity of walking to the beach

  The room was filthy. There were no towels. There was no toilet paper it was the most disgusting room I’ve ever stayed in. I was there four days not one time did housekeeping. Come check on the room. Ask if I need towels take out my trash nothing I took out my own towels Took out my own trash. I had to buy candles because the room smelled so bad.

  No pleasant greating, no smile. There claimed to be an error with the spelling of my name in the computer at the front desk. However, my booking confirmation # had the correct name, and the welcome email name was correct. Confirmation nimber and driver license given to front desk. No complementary water given to the room. I asked and was told by the front desk that complemenary water was given to VIP members only. WiFi not given at the time of check and was not in the room. Had to go back down stairs to get WiFi promo code. Black out shade needed. Sun comes up and shines directly into the room. Will not stay at this location again.
