The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  Location. Close to Millennium Park and River walk. Nice view of the parks from our suite. Comfortable sofa. Chairs could have been better. Big size TVs. 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. But no good programming was available, such as sports. Easy checkout. There is no need to wait. Just drop off keys in the box.

  Rooms are missing basic appliances, such as fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker. I'm not interested in the nespresso machine, but I would like to make coffee in the room and not be charged 5 dollars for a cup of coffee in the lobby. Nothing complimentary in a one bedroom suite. Nothing personal or luxurious. Very basic decor, kind of dated look. Not enough hangers. Okay, for one person, but not enough for 3 guests. Had to spread clothes on the chairs. The shower gel in the bathroom was not filled up, and there were no extras in the room. Run out while taking a shower. There is no extra toilet paper. Had to call to request more. You would think that having 5 hours to turn the room is enough time, but obviously not. This is a 4-star hotel with poor customer service. Called for extra blankets Saturday night, but I did not receive any. Called again on Sunday, didn't receive any. Called the third time and finally received the extra blankets. The beds were small. The beds should be queen size, not double. Double was good for one person. Pillows were small, with no support. One window was all fogged up as the seal was broken. There was some mildew in the bathroom shower. Toro Breakfast ($26) was just OK. 2 pieces of bacon, one small sausage link. Eggs were cold, potatoes salty. Toast was good, but too crispy for eggs over easy, No one was present at the concierge desk. No food service after 10:50 pm. Bar closed on Saturday night on Labor Day weekend. We had to leave the hotel to get food. This hotel is not a small place, so we were surprised how dead it was. No activities, no entertainment. People pay just for location.

  Great location and good price for the area. Rooms are decent (better than expected from the photos), I appreciated the bathtub and also coin-op laundry. Surprisingly quiet on the rear side of the building with the AC fan running.

  Parking is pretty tight and it’s right on a busy road so getting in/out can be stressful. The WiFi is unstable (I had trouble with a Zoom call) and the mini fridge is basically a freezer, no temp control—it froze my hard boiled eggs and other foodstuffs. Towels smell like bleach.

  The staff were friendly. Shower was hot and water pressure was good. I liked the spacious foyer in the room. Lots of parking.

  The hotel was rundown. One locks on the side door didn’t work and was left opened. One of frames of the queen beds broke. When I notified the staff they seemed to know about this issue so I guess it happens quite often. The room was cleaned but the air and floor felt slippery. The back courtyard would be nice if they remodeled it.

  Room is clean. I’ve stayed here before and the room I got one the second floor was way nicer than the one I stayed in on the 3rd floor. There was a strong smell on the 3rd floor that wasn’t necessarily pleasant but Overall good stay.
