The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The staff was really nice. It was affordable. Near to everything in Monroe. The TV system was over the top. Great choices but difficult to maneuver through.

  The hotel certainly needs to be refreshed. The decor is tired. The bathroom was old and stained. It was all OK, if you don't mind stained bathrooms.

  The staff was friendly. The view overlooking the lake from the parking lot is beautiful. I didn't have the breakfast.

  Despite booking at least 2 wks in advanced I was stuck with the last room of the hallway and every morning, though I wanted to sleep in, I couldn't because the housekeeping staff sounded like teenage girls in a slumber party. The A/C was stuck on 66 degrees- great for sleeping but nothing else. The luggage stand was absent ( later I noticed most rooms had one but mine). The shower head had a substantial leak which was probably the reason the room was full of flies- the type seen around sewage or stagnant water. The complimentary hangers were mismatched and way too few- about 4. I stayed 7 days.

We received no room service despite saying we hadn’t had any for two days. (Trash stayed in our room for two days. No towels were restocked or beds/linen remade or replaced)

  Worse place I had ever seen extremely dirty and I was not able to spend the night. I had to go to another hotel due to the poor condition of the place, the sidewalks and stairs are extremely dirty and the room not well maintained.
